As promised... here's a video sharing my tips on how to become not only comfortable but confident on camera! I've received several comments saying that I'm a natural on camera or that I make it look easy to film YouTube videos. But I'm not going to lie to you guys, it's not always easy! Some days are better than others. And honestly, there are several videos that I've shot that never made it on my channel because I didn't like what I said or the way I looked! But today I want to share my camera confidence tips to help you get used to talking to a camera as a small YouTuber!

🔥 Firstly, ELIMINATE the fear of judgement.

Here's how:

- Film a few videos
- Set them to unlisted
- Share with a couple friends
- Don't worry about feedback much, it's just good to get used to someone else watching it
- Start publishing videos and make them live

I was TERRIFIED when I first started my channel, but I had to remember that my message is so much bigger than me and I had to put in the work. A year and a half later, I feel so much more comfortable. Practice makes progress!

When you said you'd practice with your camera, I did the same thing! I would show my plants, planning my week, etc. It warmed my heart to reflect on this over 70 some videos ago. Awesome. When I started my podcast, I had 20+ recordings of me just journaling my day from what I ate to how my evening went. It was the most uncomfortable thing but it has helped me. Another trick I use to get comfortable when public speaking is to sit in front of a mirror and your worst critic and if you can look at yourself in front of a mirror and look at yourself in the eyes and speak, you are off to a great start.
