Well, this is it. I'm definitely hyped by Dune.


Those set pictures are gorgeous and I can see where Denis wants to go with this movie. It is exactly how I imagined: a design sci-fi film, like BR 2049, but that looks real, dirty, within its costume treatment or even the environment and production design in which the characters will go, at least in the few pictures we've been shown off. I think the first image that has been revealed with T. Chalamet is part of the movie; the shot, the background, his posture, the tone of the shot, make me think that and I really love how it looks.


Concerning the trailer, for us, fans, the sooner the better, of course, but I think Warner will release the first teaser at the beginning of summer, might be early June, late May, with a first real trailer couple of months later, maybe August.

Any idea why the character of Feyd Rautha has not yet been cast?  With Dave Bautista being cast as Rabban, I find it a bit surprising that whomever is playing his brother has not yet been announced.  Perhaps another high-profile actor they are keeping from the public to surprise us when the film is released?

Well, I'm sold. Probably the most anticipated film of the year for me. And this looks like it's going to pay off in spades. The cast looks stunning. It's less of the slightly sci-fi wacky look of other attempts and feels very real. Like someone would actually design that armor, or that ship, etc. And what a cast.

WB made a good play dropping dune peeks at this time, judging from the increased attention its received these last few days.

I'm looking forward to this take from villeneuve, which seems to be, in as far as feel, closer to Frank Hebert's vision than the fun and colors and jokes some critics have griped over not sensing from the released promo material.

i like the character choice .. i hope the focus will be on them and not on overrated action .. lets hope for a good movie that really tries to capture the novels

Loved the novel, read many years ago. In a perfect world, a young Rutger Hauer, would have played a central character.

I'm so hyped! I believe the shot of Timothee/Paul at Caladan is not a BTS image. It looks like it was taken right from the film.

Finally visuals that are worth it! It's absolutely magnificent, its promises a great film, a unique universe Denis Villeneuve I hope will surprise us for this adaptation of DUNE. 🕶✌

A beginning is a very delicate time. Know then that it is the year 10, 191. The Ixians have gone on strike, so we've had to cobble together body armour from sheets of tin fastened together with hardware store screws.

Glad you're reading the book first! In my opinion it's always best to know the source material before seeing the adaptation.

I'm praying this time they get it right. Lynch's version was blasphemy. I suppose one hopeful sign is that they're not going to condense Dune into one movie.

I look forward to seeing this and adding its Blu-ray to my copy of "Dune Anniversary Edition". It will be one of those rae times I will actually go to the theater to watch a movie.
