Thanks so much for this video. I watched a bunch of videos, and none of them matched the assembly on my faucet until I found yours. Thanks too for recommending the specialty tool to remove the hold-down. Saved me a bunch of time & frustration!

My dude! Thank you so much for this video. I know I'm late to the party, but this is the only repair video I could find that matched my faucet model. Following this vid made all the difference. Thanks again.

Thank you so much! I was able to stop my sink from dripping by watching you install the cartridge correctly. I didn’t realize there was a small notch that had to be lined up just right. You mentioned that and it made all the difference. I got it fixed 😀😀😀Yippie!

I just came across this problem (hot water handle turns very hard) with a customer today. No idea how to get the handle off. Now I do. Thanks for the very helpful video.

Great video thanks!, I was having trouble finding a moen video with the same cartridge setup. Great suggestions below DIY tool. I used a 1/2 pvc pipe, and notched it. Fits perfect.

Thanks for the video. Also thanks to Moen, who sent me 2 cartridges, even though I told them that only one tap was dripping. All managed quickly and easily from their website. Why they do not send the "tool" as well escapes me, however.
The internal lock-ring was relatively easy to remove using the needle-nose pliers trick. Once started you can turn it by hand. After inserting the cartridge, it is hard to know whether you have it seated in the groove, but luck was in my favour, and I would just add that it is a good idea to turn the ridged plastic clockwise all the way before inserting the screw- I started to assume that I had stripped the thread, but it just turns for a very long time before it is fully closed. No more drips.
Thanks.

Thank you, your video was very helpful. My husband had all the tools, but had difficulty getting the cartridge out. Unfortunately the cartridge will not come out. Tried silicone as well. Thanks again.

Awesome video, and you also walk the owners of these so-so products into how far Moen will go to fulfill their warranty. Eg they told me the retainer nut removal tool can be skipped (use the pliers) and no way I can get it out w/o it, and even if I maul it, will need a new part for next maintenance. Also a few of my handles are stuck, need them replaced. Thank you!

Actually your camera cut out at the only part I needed to see. I've tried rubber, channel locks, ratchet straps. It won't budge. My hands are inured from so much twisting. I will have to try again another day after my hands heal. The only thing I have left to try is det cord.
