It’s easier to believe that miracles are not for today and to bury ourselves in books and libraries instead of getting humble and hungry enough to seek God’s face. We owe our generation an encounter with God. God can be experienced! He invites us to taste Him and see that He is good. Miracles, healing, and tongues are not for a show but to express His love for the dying world and invite them into a deep relationship with Him.

Solid. Especially your last example of those who misuse the gifts which leads to claims that they have ceased.
Personally, I see much Bible evidence that the gifts shall increase, so I’m an increasionist, smile.
While some say the world will get worse (it always has been, so nothing new there, ) these are only opportunities for the increase of Holy Spirit’s gifts.

Jesus, hear my prayers because I am weak. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Father God it is you that gives me the strength to keep going. I praise you Father even as I fear homelessness please continue to give me strength.❤

My husband and all my inlaws are cessationists and this is very hindering in my walk. I pray in tongues in secret, which is fine. But during deliverance with hungrygen I was told that God will be giving me prophetic dreams. I pray that God opens doors for me to serve him freely 🙏🙏🙏

One of the things I see with cessationism is that it’s rooted in fear. Fear of the unknown but also fear of deception cause as we know, some people can fake the gifts or obtain certain gifts from occult sources. Their arguments are really based on conclusions that aren’t even done in context.

If the gifts would no longer be needed or in operation, God would have said something about didn't, so, they haven't gone anywhere. They were given until the church comes to perfection, since the church hasn't come to perfection yet, they continue to be needed to build up the church. I personally am glad miracles still exist as He healed my literal blindness, so that I could continue to support my family. The biggest miracle He does on a continuing basis is taking a sinful, wretched person and washing them clean and making them part of His family. ❤❤❤
