Two SpaceX astronauts have successfully returned to their Dragon Capsule after completing the first-ever private spacewalk as part of the company’s “risky” mission to test out new spacesuits.

The Polaris Dawn mission, the riskiest yet by the Elon Musk-led company, began shortly after 11am UK time at 700 km (435 miles) in altitude, and involved two astronauts venturing outside Crew Dragon while the other two remain inside.

Jared Isaacman, the billionaire mission commander, was the first to exit the capsule and carry out a 12-minute spacewalk. He was then followed by Sarah Gillis, the mission specialist, who carried out the second spacewalk.

The capsule remains completely depressurised, and the whole crew will continue to rely on their slim, SpaceX-developed spacesuits for oxygen. Repressurisation began one minute after Ms Gillis returned and will last for around an hour.

Wasn't really a spacewalk though was it?They never actually floated free of the vehicle and just stuck their heads out of it

The hatch of the Space X Dawn Polaris was opened in the VACUUM OF SPACE.
WHAT HAPPENS TO A PLASTIC BOTTLE WITH NO LID IN A VACUUM CHAMBER.

Now I see why they banned the use of plastic bags

DID THE CREW HAVE GEIGER COUNTERS.
THE RADIOACTIVE VAN ALLEN BELTS BEGIN AT 400 MILES ABOVE EARTH.
AT 800+ MILES ABOVE EARTH THEY WERE IN A RADIOACTIVE RADIATION FIELD,

How was there NOISE in the vacuum of Space when the hatch was opened???

Space X Dawn/Polaris opened the hatch on their craft, 870 MILES above Earth.
RADIOACTIVE VAN ALLEN BELTS begin at 400miles extending to 36, 404 MILES.
How did they transmit to Earth from the ELECTROMAGNETIC Van Allen Belts.
RADIATION SICKNESS should have ensued in a radiation flooded cabin.

So wealthy people could pollute the earth and we (who will never be able to afford it and struggle carrying groceries) can watch from down here in awwe and say "See, we did that right there" Let's go Biden 😂

What a joke! what happened to satellite internet, and what is that terrible helmet cam quality!? 100's of millions spent on this and using what appears to be a £50 720p (at best) cam, not to mention, little funny how the camera feed seems to cut for the hatch opening, and 'going past Antarctica (joke)

Oh here's what google says about satellite internet ...

Where it's useful
Satellite internet can be a good option for remote areas or homes that are hard to reach for other providers. It can also be used in temporary locations like construction sites or emergency shelters, or on moving objects like ships, trains, and aircraft.
Latency
Satellite internet is designed to prioritize low latency for a variety of applications, including voice calls, video streaming, data transmission, and cloud services.
Providers
Some satellite internet providers include Starlink, Hughesnet, and Viasat
