I have worked for crown for 16 years and been through recessions in 2008, hurricanes, tornados pandimics, and ice storms. Crown has always kept the interest of their buisness and employees first.I would like to say to all crown family we have been through all that, and we will get through this

My wife and I both work at crown and we are still in the dark (almost two weeks later). They told us they were not paying us and thank you for your understanding….im sorry but we have ZERO understanding because no one will tell us what the hell is going on!

I work for Crown. They've always been a re-active company, not a pro-active company.

How is payroll down and yet they are paying certain ones, or how are they even paying anyone vacation or personal time if payroll is down.

I’m a Crown technician and this is definitely frustrating for everyone

I’m sure the FBI is involved might be why everything is hush hush. I work for Crown in Celina Ohio. What I’m concerned about is this whole situation can take months before up and running. I do believe it’s best for myself to find another job. I to live
paycheck to paycheck.

I'm a painter at Crown Equipment in Greencastle, Indiana. It doesn't sound like Crown was prepared for this. It's sad. I love my job and my co workers. We are all concerned about our job there.

Working for the company, I hate how they are handling things for hourly waged people. Tossed to the wolves while the salary workers in management are just up and taking a vacation (i'm being literal for my experience) because they are unaffected

Crown employee here. As of yesterday (6/18/24) crown informed all employees that a hack did occur. Payroll did get effected but crown has assured all employees will be paid on time. The only employees who haven't been at work are factory workers. At least here at my branch, all field techs and management are still working every day.

As an employee that works there we were given 4 options.
1- use time
2- do nothing no pay no penalty
3- file unemployment
4- make up days
Why do I have to use my time to get paid for an issue that wasn’t cause by anybody but a damn thief?
I can’t believe they are screwing us over like that.

Field Tech here.

We (Field Techs) are still working and fixing customers equipment. However, the office personnel has been sent home with no pay. Expected to use vacation/pto and/or file unemployment. It’s ridiculous.

They are screwing us all over! Claiming to be a family company. Telling us to either take no pay no penalty, vacation and PTO (if you have it), file unemployment. They haven’t given us much information. Now telling us that we could go back June 24 after telling us last Friday we could go back Tuesday. So many people want to work and are dedicated to this company and they can’t give us more information or help.

Im a current crown employee. Been there nearly 2 decades. Ive had the good fortune to work at alot of different places over the years, and i can say without a doubt, crown treats their people WELL above avg. This isnt a tornado or fire, etc etc. Which historically, in those instances, crown has pulled through for their employees every time. This is different. This is cyber security. And most likely the FBI is involved. And if they are involved, crowns hands are likely tied, as to what they can and cannot say to the employees in the immediate. Im sure its sop. I was just there to ask questions in person yesterday. And they are actively rebuilding the system.
Its easy to say and hard to do, but have patience.

I work for Crown in NZ. First off Crown takes cybersecurity very seriously. I’ve only been work for Crown since October last year and had a cybersecurity module when I first started and then again in February or March. Our emails are also well protected. With passwords and messages when receiving emails outside of the organization saying “email originated outside of company are you sure you want to open” as far as work. It’s business as usual. No time off or holidays. If you need paper parts diagrams, wiring diagrams or manuals (PSRT) my manager has been very helpful with supplying me with the necessary tools to do my job. As a field technician it’s quite a lonely job. Most of the time working by yourself, this event that has happened I feel it’s been good, as I find myself talking to other employees that I wouldn’t normally talk to if everything was working. Everyone working at Crown knows it’s a difficult time. That being said Crown is a team and in my experience there is always someone there to help you.

As a technician we still reported to work as usual. Just used paper time sheet and work orders. They just came out saying they are pushing our previous checks from the previous pay period through for our paycheck this week. Any difference in pay will be subtracted or added to the next pay check.

I’ve been with crown for 3 years. Never have I ever been a part of a company who basically tells us to keep quiet about something that affect the entire company. Then, they tell us we aren’t getting paid for the time we are off. Then, we get told we can take unemployment while still being employed by them. Then the icing on the cake for me, they just called us today and explained that “crown was the victim of an international cyberattack.” WE ALREADY KNEW THAT. We don’t want to know what we know, we want paid for something that was out of our control. On the bright side, around the area, there are businesses that are giving crown employees discounts during this time, and that’s all fine and dandy, but some (if not most) of us, live paycheck to paycheck, so we can’t even take advantage of discounts like those. We as employees appreciate the efforts from these local businesses, but we don’t want discounts, WE WANT PAID!!!
