Kubuntu is THE BEST Ubuntu

After running Kubuntu for a month, i found out that i liked it more then plain Ubuntu :O

I have my Dad on Kubuntu-LTS he's been on it since 16.04 and consistency and stability is why he's still running it today. A distro where he doesn't have to relearn it every release.

kubuntu looks super amazing and stability at its best. every nook and corner of it seems to have been polished so well to the height of ultimate slick elete premium grade os. its a swiss army knife of settings, options, customizations, just mind blowing. window management is superb, overview kickass, stunning animations, effects, transparency, wobbly windows rocks, moving windows feels like dragging jelly. also like the shadow under the windows which add a bit of debth to the active windows.

That's been my experience with Kubuntu, it's complete, stable and delivers more than expected. Shame I'm more of a GTK Gnome user but when I need Plasma I always turn to Kubuntu. The problem I have with Plasma is that I switch my client from Windows to Linux and have to support them. The support overhead of KDE is too high. Users get in and "adjust" settings and screw things up too often. Gnome is so anal they can't even make it fart.

Great video Kent. I'm stuck with windows to run my adobe suite, but have been using linux on and off over the years. Decided i would spend my cold Canadian winter getting back into linux and have been researching distros/ desktops. Kubuntu makes sense for me with the stability of Ubuntu and that awesome kde plasma environment. Going throw a spare ssd in my desktop and run a dual boot with Kubuntu. My first dive back into linux since about 2 years ago with Mint. Your video was the deciding factor. I've subscribed here for the tech info and the swearing ! Cheers from fucking Canada :)

My favourite Ubuntu is the latest Ubuntu Studio that uses Kde plasma. It has all the apps preinstalled you need to start working straight away.

The best thing about Plasma is that it looks like windows out of the box, but it's not hard to make it look like mac os, elementary, or whatever you wish it to look like. KDE is just so clean.

Hello, I have a question, did you have a problem connecting to 2.4GHz WiFi network ? I have a Dell Inspiror 15 5000 laptop and on older versions of Linux Kubuntu or Ubuntu, Linux Mint below version 20 I have no problem, the problem is above but I connect to 5GHz. If I have to be honest (lol), I would use MX KDE over Kubuntu... but I have to be honest I'm not 'really' a Ubuntu fan these days. But yes, of all the Ubuntu DEs, I do agree that Kubuntu is probably the best. Isn't there a tool to help with GTK app appearance in KDE, or is that just a Manjaro thing? I'm also looking forward to trying Cutefish when that comes out... it seems like a simplified Qt environment :)

I installed Kubuntu due to this video. It is my favorite distro ever and the longest I've stuck with linux. Been on xubuntu, mint, pop! but this one is the one that really got me excited to use it. Truly a great distro.

Kubuntu is super good and has been the greatest experience I have used linux for about 7 years now, most of it has been default gnome ubuntu, i have also used alot of linux mint, pop os, fedora (with gnome), opensuse , debian .... kubuntu feels like home, best distro I have used by far and I love KDE

I'm also a fan of KDE and Danish ;-) it's simple, very stable and it's consistent, no bad surprises between versions. Using Kbuntu 22.04

Kubuntu nice, but too much frivolity in my opinion and that always goes at the cost of reliability. But I upgrade Kubuntu to 22.04 soon and have another look at it.

The only issue I have with Kubuntu is that the current KDE theme isn't the prettiest, and I hope that Plasma 5 will soon get a major visual overhaul.

I mean, Deepin is way better looking but man it has some real issues with keeping their repositories compatible and having up to date development tools. Kubuntu user here.

i Honsetly have to Agree KDE is the Best...
I've been into Linux Since before it began. we had to Download Firefox from Src and compile it lol :P Slackware style.
it just works and is not so much Cluttered. and non intuitive.
