ONE CORRECTION TO THIS: Ubuntu has major funding and now they have reporting too. So lump Ubuntu in with MacOS and Windows in terms of privacy or lack there of.

Im currently trying Arch. I manually installed it cause i wanted to learn, after 14 hours and 5 attempts (no kidding) i managed. This forced me to learn a lot of stuff, i went from knowing nothing about linux or how a computer boots to slightly understand the procceses, file structure, mounting and dismounting, privileges and users. I still have a lot to learn, like to compile custom software, understand my desktop mánager (KDE) better, security, drivers and a lot more.
