My Top 56 entries from Finland in Eurovision (1961-2022)

Here's my Top 56 of the Finnish entries in Eurovision so far.
On a first instinct, I'd say Finland's Golden Era has passed, and that was the era from the mid-70s to about the mid-90s. Looking at this ranking, that range of entries certainly stands out in general, but is seems there is another period of time that sent even more special entries for me.

8. Aina mun pitää 2015 (slayyyy. Made an essay at school of how they reflect their disabilities in the lyrics)
7. Btw bye baby 1994 (seen them also live, a classic for us finns but somehow got hated)
6. Old man fiddle 1975 (sounds the most international, like it could be from Ireland)
5. Huilumies 1980 (this legend, the biggest star of Finland just passed away, R.I.P)
4. Blackbird 2017 (our 100 year independence anthem… a pure magical moment feeling like the calm nature of our beautiful country)

My favorite Finnish entry is without a doubt La dolce vita (1989). It's so addictive and the salsa genre fits the Finnish language surprisingly well! Not even Cha Cha Cha (2023) can surpass it!

I’m glad you’ve posted about Finland 🇫🇮! Finland 🇫🇮 is not only my favorite country at Eurovision but also my all time favourite country in the whole world!!! I love 💖 their language so much! For me it sounds like a Chrissy Day full of joy and chocolate 😁

In my opinion Finland is the most underrated country in Eurovision history. Every decade they presented masterpieces which where completely ignored by juries, televote or both of them.

You found 50 Finnish entries better than Muistojeni Laulu. I can' even find half as much entries from any countries better than this song. Why did you have to put it so low! It's one of their best entries ever, probably the best one, a clear 10/10! So beautiful!

10: 1973: amazing song and stuck a charismatic performance.
9: 2004: such a great dramatic tango song. 9/10.
8: 2008: amazing mood and song. 9.5/10.
7: 1982: such a great song with a good message. 9/10.
6: 2018: amazing song and perfect performance. 9.5/10.
5: 2009: this song is a banger and was so underrated in 2009. So ahead of its time. Love it. 9.5/10.
4: 2007: such a perfect masterpiece. 10/10.
3: 2021: such s as n amazingly bombastic mood. 10/10.
2: 2006: such an amazing song that set the trend of good rock in Eurovision.
1: 2014: such an emotional song that has the right amount of punch to make it perfect. 10/10.
Honourable mentions: 2011, 1965, 2013, 1977, 1987, 1991, 1989 and 1983.
Finland 🇫🇮 are kinda underrated in Eurovision. Back in the day they were not the most consistent but now they have really found a lane that they own and I love in Eurovision. Hopefully they will send loads more quality in the future!

Aah, Finland. I’ve seen many people describe them as ‘absolutely hopeless’ in the contest, which I think is a bit mean as they certainly have their flashes of brilliance which is generally horribly under marked. Take my favourite, 1985, for example.
