My Top 38 entries from Luxembourg in Eurovision (1956-1993)

Here's my Top 38 of the Luxembourgish entries in Eurovision.
It's kind of striking the lack of a middle ground to the quality of Luxembourg's entries in Eurovision. I have lots of 2s and 3s, and lots of stuff 7 and above, but very few songs in-between. I don't think Luxembourg was a particularly good country, but they certainly did send a good number of gems.

I dont understand why 1970 is so hated by eurovision fans. I understand its repetitive but cmon, its a fun melody and he's got a good voice

Little Luxembourg time! Time for the review.

Luxembourg isn’t the best of the 7, but not the worst. I do appreciate their short time in the contest. It also had my fastest grower for any song. Which is cool I guess (in 1984) My favorite entry by far like no question is 1965, followed by 1973. My least favorite entry from them is probably 1982.

My top 10 of Luxembourg 🇱🇺 in Eurovision (1956-1993):
10: 1989: pretty fun and catchy. 8.5/10.
9: 1978: really cute and charismatic. It is a little silly but it is pretty catchy and good. 8.5/10.
8: 1991: a pretty great ballad with amazing vocals. 8.5/10.
7: 1966: this song is so powerful and amazing. 9/10.
6: 1988: this song is amazing and the vocals are great. 9.5/10.
5: 1972: such a great vocal and song and a deserved winner.
4: 1993: a great pop-rock song. Not the most memorable though. 9.5/10.
3: 1971: this song is amazing. Great vocals and a perfect song. 10/10.
2: 1956; such an amazing song that is perfect in every way. Should have won even though Switzerland is amazing as well. 10/10.
1: 1966: this song is amazing. A Eurovision classic. 10/10.

Honestly Luxembourg is a bit of a wildcard to me in Eurovision. I mean I like loads of their entries but many of them are just “meh” to me. I like more of their later years mostly because they experimented with more interesting and less cliche sounds than they did in their earlier years. I would wish for them to return if they ever will but I hope that they do not send a boring ballad because they just do not really appeal to me for the most part.

Luxembourg's a mixed country for me, sure, they've got some really good entries, but nothing too brilliant either, and some of their earlier entries didn't always work out for me. The good stuff is worth the time, though. Here's what I think!
