i keep seeing this guy’s shorts, and i have a little story to tell. when i was applying for college i got waitlisted at my realistic favorite. i ended up on the waitlist until march and i was about to put deposit in for my second choice when i thought screw it. i decided to send the head admissions officer an email. i explained how the school was my top choice and told them how i had taken a business class (i applied to be in finance) and excelled in it since i had given them my transcript and tried to sell myself a little. i thought if i don’t hear back in a week i’ll put my deposit in for school 2 and move on with my life knowing i gave it a shot. they sent me a congratulatory email the next day and now i’m graduating in may with a finance degree. don’t be afraid to ask for what you want.

GPA actually means “General Parent Approval” is actually a measurement of if your parents will be proud of you. It’s not a measurement of how good you are.

Here GPA is actually important to get scholarship in Uni/college you’re applying to (private/not private). But it also depends. For example if you’re in private university and you get around 4.00 your students debt will be turned into scholarship. You don’t need to pay anything. ( just sharing please don’t hate)

this made me so happy! i’ve been stressed and angry that the arts classes and zero period that i add onto my schedule, which makes it MORE rigorous, dilute my GPA. i could be rank 1 rn if i wasn’t taking any more arts since freshman year. it made me so mad that everyone who wasn’t doing as much as me was going to look like they did better. glad to see the colleges actually consider that taking more classes is harder.

Thank you. Found out yesterday my GPA dropped from a 3.93 to a 3.7 because I transferred schools and the school I came from didn’t give out A+’s (even though I had multiple scores that would give me an A+ at other schools). Ngl, I was pretty frustrated and all the schools I thought of as my safety schools just weren’t anymore. I came from a ‘therapeutic’ boarding school, so there were no AP or honors classes and it was a ‘hand you a text book, take notes, and take a quiz’. There was no teacher and everyone took their own courses so it was difficult to do well (especially with math and science courses because the quizzes, particularly chemistry because I was a Guinea pig for that call, had nothing to do with the reading and you were expected to know things you never learned or memorize things that were a side fact or a one liner in a picture caption, but mostly stuff that was literally no where like how to remove hard water in manufacturing centers like writing multiple paragraphs for it) so I was just kinda done when I found out my new GPA. Now I feel a lot better about my prospects.
