Weighted vs Unweighted GPA...

GPA stands for Grade Point Average, basically a score on a scale from either 0-4 or 0-5. Where you land on this scale is based on the grades you get in your classes and how hard they are.
On the unweighted scale, all your grades are equal, meaning that honors and AP classes don’t affect your GPA more. On the weighted scale, your grades in tougher classes will be worth more, letting your GPA go above 4.
