So i have no copyrights on my channel, I basically take a video, use my own backgrounds and add subtitles in English to the foreign language, however this is considered re-use content, I mean I spend many hours doing this and I have accumlated over 300k subscribers, it is unfair for YouTube to then say, it is re-used content. Btw I was monetized 2-3 years before December 2022 they demonetized me. Seems a harsh cruel system

I really did like this video because you have such an honest and gentle style. Sometimes it is annoying watching videos about this topic that have text flying all over and whoop sounds because this topic makes creators feel very anxious. They're probably confused and trying to figure out a very serious issue and they don't need the fast paced entertainment style. They need a style like yours - honest, helpful, and full of good ideas that will help us. It is a complex issue for a beginner, because we are just learning, and we make mistakes. I am so discouraged because I followed several well-known youtubers in regards to my channel content and was turned down for monetization even after appeal. I purposely found many youtubers to get the info from - and they were all wrong. I have over 100 meditation/relaxation videos that all have to be deleted and redone. I basically lost a year's worth of work.

I have an Epidemic Sound account, can make my own wind & rain sounds - but it's the videos that have me stumped if it's allowed.. I just learned how to take video from Pexels and the like, overlay them, then turn them into patterns and create entirely new images - but it's a lot of work!

if you upload a video or short and *specifically do not monetize that video* when uploading, does it still count as re-used content that can get your channel de-monetized?

Do you have any tips for reused content for an AMV channel? I've reached out to other monetized AMV creators and to team YouTube on Twitter; they did help, but still, I'm kind of lost. I have a whole month to improve my channel and reapply for monetization, so any tips would be helpful. The first time I applied for monetization, I was rejected due to reused content. I appealed, but it got rejected, and now I have to make changes and delete or edit videos if I want to try to monetize my channel. Now I know my channel has some reused content for shorts (because I specifically downloaded them from TikTok and uploaded them to YouTube), so that's a red flag. I will have to delete them, but for my long-form videos, I don't think it violates any of those guidelines because my content is original. YouTube just fails to understand that, because they say that my videos don't add value and that my editing skills are minimal with no effort. That is a lie because most AMV channels add their thoughts, storylines, plots, voiceovers, transitions, filters, and effects to make their videos stand out. I believe YouTube thinks that I take raw footage and post it on YouTube with some music, and that is a lie, I actually take the time to edit each scene, and part of the movie clip, synchronize it with music, and so on. I just have no idea how to explain it to YouTube, they fail to understand me. Maybe you have any tips? I'd be very grateful for any advice. Thank you.

What I don't understand is, if they crack down so much on reused content, then why do THEY allow a "reusable permission button" or something along that, when you upload a video which gives others a chance to reuse clips of what you've uploaded....does not.make sense. YouTube is weird
