Reused content refers to channels that repurpose someone else's content without adding significant original commentary or educational value. This policy is taken from the AdSense Search Console portion of AdSense program policies.

My channel got demonetized for repetitive/reused content. I've taken down videos that I thought for sure went against their policies; I've reapplied and sent in appeals more than once for the last six months now... and earlier this week, my appeal was rejected AGAIN. Worse yet, when I went to check on my contents tab over on my YouTube Studio, I saw that no one had even BOTHERED to watch my appeal. As of now, it *still* has 0 views!
But this video, which a friend just shared with me.... This video's given me hope. Maybe all isn't lost after all.

Hello, i was demonetized for reused content in october after i had the best month in all my 8 years on youtube. I was forced to wait 90 days to apply for an appeal and i deleted over 300 videos that were edited scenes, cutscenes which took a lot of time to make. I just left my lego reviews, lego showcases with music, lore videos and heavily edited tribute videos with music. When i reapplied i was denied for reused content again. Now i refuse to delete anything else because all the rest of the things are absolutely my hard work and have been on youtube for years. Why all of sudden am I flagged for reused content for my own stuff? Most of the clips I use are around 2 or 3 seconds and rarely every 10 seconds tops and directly falls into fair use and has been since I started. I've been out a job since october and haven't been payed the biggest sum i've ever earned in a month in september 2023. The only things that i can think of that are left is for me to manualy go through over 500 videos and add a unique description to each one and delete the 1 minute videos i made to be both shorts and regular videos with slight differences. Any help would be appreciated man! :)

I own a business that was built on Film and Movie promotion. Trailers, etc. We’ve been demonetized 8 times in 4-5 years and was able to get it back. This time they denied the appeal. We even started posting original movie news commentaries that are 100% transformative before the bot demonetized us this most recent time. I’m not sure what’s going on with YouTube now. But I’ll figure it out. Thanks for the ideas.

Thanks so much for this Steve! I was denied first application due to re-used content, most likely due to several videos having the TikTok watermark. I marked all videos with watermark as Private, application has been approved, but it doesn’t look like all monetization features are unlocked yet? I’m afraid to mark anything as Public until maybe another approval step?
