It seems a bit hypocritical that YouTube keeps all ad revenue from reused content. If reused content goes against community standards, why does YouTube allow these videos to be published without restrictions and then keeps all the ad revenue?

i still don't understand this....I pay other people to film a video, because who will have the time to go out to all the countries to film all those? I PAY them to do their job & then someone gets that notification of ''re-used content'' 😡😡

I was monetized for 3 years and then suddenly they demonetized me and i can't get back in, I have over 300k subs, plus I edit and add subtitles to my videos in 2 languages so I am adding value to my videos, I just don't understand how it is re-used when I am actually working on the videos and adding value to it. If I can bring in the views does it matter if it is re-used anyway, advertisers want new people for their product, I provide the views, win win for everybody.

The thing is, 80% of my channel's content is MY OWN gameplay from a free indie game that I recorded, but most of the videos don't have commentary. The game is free of any legal bs and the dev stated all playthrough of any kind are fine, monetized or not. But because this game is popular and most people's playthroughs of it looks very similar, YouTube demonetized my entire channel today. So what should I do? Should I start by appealing first? I refuse to delete the majority of my videos since I've worked so hard on them. They're the reason why my channel grew in the first place.

How do you know if Youtube has flagged your video for reused content? I was demonetized but in youtube studio, all i see are a couple "copyright" and "shorts policy" restrictions. These show as not affecting my channel. Is this what caused demonetization? 3:00

I'm on my fifth rejection now. I've stripped my channel down to almost nothing. I'm baffled as to what else to do. Five rejections over the course of nearly two years. I must hold the record at this point.

I just had this issue, I do not see the reason for it. I make anime reviews and in the first minute start showing myself and through almost all the review I'm speaking, so...yeah, don't know what was the reason 🤷🏻‍♂️

YT does not tag the videos (as youbstate) that are reused content. You have to guess!

I make gameplay channel, got monetize. After a week monitized, my channel got not able to monetize due to reuse content. Playing game for the sake of content everyday. Sacrified my time for the content and lastly they said reuse content with no clue where is reuse content I've make?? Huuhhh
