OMG I just remembered my mother would be yelling-going off-then the phone would ring (she always ran committees and projects-still does) and she shift into kindness pleasant voice professional, presentation, charming & laughing-until she got off the phone! Good times.

It is validating to hear you say “ telling the truth is not smear campaign “ My favorite thing to do to a narcissist is wait for the perfect time in front of their flying monkeys and just drop a subtle truth bomb. All I hear at that point is silence. Then watch their body language and eye contact to distinguish who their flying monkeys are. They are so easy to break down and once they’re figured out they’re going to complete fight or flight. They are truly not smart.

Yes Lee you are right!! My ex always celebrated my birthday and Christmas. He would always get me balloons which he knew I love, money and a card. That's what made the relationship so confusing too me, he was Nice, Nasty, I lived on eggshells which I didn't realize had an effect on my concentration until I got out of it!!! My coworkers and Managers have noticed the difference and I realize things I had problems with focusing on and remembering steps at work, I now can do.
I very seldom got on the ph, he would listen to me talking, he would get my ph, delete all of his text messages, I started forwarding some texts to my email for documentation. Yes he would say what messes up relationships is getting other people involved.

And they know how to treat you right when they are in public and around others (except for dog whistling to make you look crazy when you react) its behind closed doors where their true abuse comes out. And sometimes it doesnt bother them as much if you tell others a out it because theres no proof and they can talk their way out of it.

My ex had a double life and when I found out I told her too that he had a family! He set out to destroy my life by getting me fired from work and still after two years tried taking our daughter from me, and feels entitled to child support that he hasn't paid me yet!
