Valheim is one of the most God-sent survival games that has come out in a long time. Also I'm bias cause I love norse mythology

I like the material grind. It's a chill way to spend time. I like to play games to relax and get lost in the world.

I mean, I feel like you're having a honeymoon period with this game. I love Valheim to death, but there's a fair amount of tedium to the game as you progress. The free repairing is nice, but the material grind gets just as obscene as most others, the further you get. If not worse, due to lower drop chances/yields for certain materials

The things I find that take the longest in Valheim is: mining material for bronze armor. Due to the fact that you need 2 copper for 1 tin. Whist fending off trolls and greydwarfs (Having a campfire usually keeps the greydwarfs at bay with the exception of the shamans and brutes) and getting the dragon eggs to the Moder spawner. Wouldn't be so bad if an egg didn't way the equivilant of a heavy weight boxer.

Honestly farming, mining, cart runs for food/lumber and cave valuables are some of my girlfriend and mines favorite part of the game, the bosses are awesome and what not but building, stocking and maintaining our homestead is a great after work evening bonding time for her and I, relaxing, usually not terribly stressful and then on weekends when we can play for longer, we are fully stocked with foods and materials for whatever we want to tackle. Some games are worse than others but I think they found a pretty good sweet spot

The game is fun... Until you die half a map away because something one-shots you since your food buffs were only halfway there and you didn't parry in time. It is a cool game that is super unfriendly to the player as you progress further. Also traveling by raft to get your gear will take hours and you still might get one-shot by the same thing camping your corpse.

I’ve modded the game to death to remove tedious aspects and….it quickly killed the game for me. Now I’m back to an unmodded run…the circle of life I guess lol

I mean unless they get rid of the need for literal hour or more long boring ass ship voyages I can't agree. And God forbid you get killed halfway through before building a portal and need to go back to your stuff against the wind.

It's what killed the game for me honestly. Such a big world and such a tedious way of travel. Haven't played since a few months after release so maybe it changed

The KEY in this Game is the Serversettings, everyone can easily setup by yourself before you play. You just needto know . 3x loot is very smooth for playing valheim. if you farm something once its enough for the whole playthrough i just figured. The portalssettings are important so you can travel with ore that saves you 100hours+ :D

I Like Farming in valheim. IT gives me the Feeling of slowly getting there where i want to be.

A litte tedious especially Mining duo to dwarfs every 3 sec but i Love the Game to much to be too mad

After losing my love for Minecraft because of how much it has changed and become way too complex, Valheim has reignited my love for survival crafting games. It's such a simplistic game and thats what I used to love about old Minecraft before Microsoft got their grubby mitts on it.
