honestly mastering parry with every enemy in the game is the most helpful thing you can do for yourself

Even better I always farm abomination near surtling spawns and walk it over to the fire spout and walk in circles until it burns to death. Never have to raise a finger I'm lazy like that, work smarter not harder I say.

Most important part of the root armor is pierce resistance. It makes it some of the best armor in the game even in the mistlands. Poison resist, weak to fire, etc is all irrelevant. The main meta and purpose of that armor is the chest pierce resistance

i have killed all the bosses in Valheim and I had no idea this creature existed at all.

For people who are struggling to kill them, i have a bit of understanding from killing them. They have three attacks, a swipe with its right arm(You can easily block or dodge this), one that slams its center part down(only happens if you're too close to it), and lastly its left arm slam(i find it hard to remember how long the wind up and slam is so i mostly fail at parrying this, but you can actually easily walk underneath the base of the left arm right near the center of it and completely dodge the attack. Its slow enough that it gives you time).

What you wanna do is bait it to do the center slam by getting really near it. Do a few swipes when staggered. Rince and repeat. However if you run out of stamina, bait it out to the the left arm slam, the one that you can get away from just by standing underneath the base of that arm. You can bait this attack by getting a bit far away from it. Recover stamina cuz it has a very long animation for it. And then repeat the center slam parry. Its very ez, its size is intimidating but somehow you can parry itm

I'm no Valheim pro but I noticed the Fire in the Surtling Camp really takes Abominations out quick

The best way is to pull it to a fire spring and just hold it there it will burn to nothing. Keep it in the same spot and the damage increases from the fire spring.

You can do that with a Axe or lure them to fire, but my favorite is to lure a Troll to help and it's a great watch. The best is watching a Troll Vs Abomination Vs Lox.

I just take them over the surtling spawner and the abomination is destroyed by the fire.

Bronze axe+buckler does quick work of them too, and ur more likely to meet them with bronze tier gear, why wander the swamps once ur at iron? Parrying them inside a surtling spawner nukes them down in a second

I am so afraid of them that I just kite them for about 2 hours and 200 fire arrows later they are dead 😅😅

I ended up making a tree stand and going up in the tree, fine wood bow level 4, about 30 bow skill and about 40 fire arrows killed one for me, I don't have iron yet since my group is waiting to do the second boss as a group

You could also lure them to walk over surtling geysers making them take a ton of firedamage if you don't want to waste the iron on the axe
