Newcastle are so under the EPL microscope that they had to sell ASM on the cheap. Liverpool gained big style from Saudi money when it suited, yet dont want Newcastle to

It has 100% happened before. Look at Lampard going to new york then being loaned straight back

Of course my club Forest were against it.... Our owner owns Olympiakos. We have shipped out a few there

Nottingham Forest owner that first comes to mind how many times you see players transfer from Forest to Olympiacos or vice versa on loan or for "undisclosed fee"

We (nufc) wont loan anyone from saudi. Weve done everything by the book since day one and that wont change. So stop wetting your beds

I love how all they mention is Newcastle can loan saudi players.. other clubs can loan players but we’re just fortunate enough to have a better pool of players to potentially bring in! Spotlights always on Newcastle

The good news is that Newcastle are trying to break up the cartel of the big 6, who tried to ruin the Premier League by forming their own "super league". The fact that Newcastle maybe able to loan one or two players from Saudi, it will make no difference to the other 14 teams only the cartel are worried. Danny Murphy is correct.

Had Sheik Jassim bought Man Utd, Simon the hypocrite would have had an entirely different commentary 😅

Why is Simon surprised that the clubs that voted against have vested interest? Of course they do. It's a business at the end of the day. They'd be commercially naive and foolish if they didn't. 🤔

What inflated prices is Simon talking about ? Chelsea made losses on the players we sold to the Saudis. Neves from wolves was 50 odd million, that’s the right price for him. The only inflation happening is the wages over there.

Great listening to the guys talk...then right in the middle two forced ads....thanks talksport it's so much fun listening then you miss part of it...

Never used to get forced ads during the debate so I'm guessing either YT or TS chasing more money...could the ads not be in the part where the show stops??

Always remember the cartel tried to take football away from the other 86 football league teams. Every other fan shouldn't be worried about Newcastle trying to break the cartels back! They should be happy some other team has the ability to break it. We need more teams doing it.

Why should Newcastle not be able to bring in a cover for Tonali under FFP, they have been ripped off by AC Milan, and left at a massive disadvantage as a result. Why is Newcastle being targeted? Because they are a threat to the status quo

Andrew-yqfm

If they added a capital requirement to FFP on loan signing and market valuation of the player it would likely appease everyone… but the ruling people of the game haven’t got a clue about football or finances in general.

How much gear did Simon take before this. Mate slow down. Almost needed subtitles to keep up.

Why was nobody up in arms until newcastle came along,

Didn’t Lampard get signed by NYFC and loaned straight back

It would be brilliant if the toon got no one on loan and still finished in the top 5.

A vote to change the rules midway through the season is a joke. So pleased it failed. 👏🏻👏🏻

Simon ‘it’s not just about Newcastle’ while the talksport big bold headline is ‘NEWCASTLE CAN LOAN SAUDI PLAYERS’ 😂
Come on man as Simon says himself if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck then it’s a duck.. big 6 cartel terrified
