Love the way Jim just nods his head when he hasn’t got a scooby what the geezers either side of him are talking about 😊

Clubs shouldn’t be paying for agents. Players should pay the agents. That would help out with the outlandish spending

The main concern in all of this is, who is buying Scott McTominay duvet covers!?

If they made agents fees a flat rate like they do in the NFL, that would massively help drive down excessive expenditure.

Why aren't there spending caps on TV rights so that more viewers can aford to watch it?

There are 3 types of club in the premier league - those who are global brands, those who are trying to become a global brand, and those who’s ambitions will never extend that far because they just don’t have the visibility and size to ever do it. The final group are those to whom TV money is the most important. If theyre capping spending to a multiple of TV money when bigger clubs have other revenue streams, you are creating a perfect impetus for a super league once again.

EPL go from one disaster to the next, stop interfering with the clubs finances, no one stopped real Madrid spending every year, the galacticos, when the English clubs can now compete, everybody is now up in arms

No one on top wants to level the playing field. They want small clubs to stay small. They do t want anyone challenging their spot.

This is Execellent, it adds much needed parity to a sport with very little.

Finally everyone is realizing FFP was always about protecting the Cartel. They never wanted City in. Unfortunately, City now sits at the head of the Cartel

@2:40 SImon Jordan misinforms the public - La Liga does not have a hard cap like what is proposed here by the PL - La Liga allows Real Madrid to spend more than Barca based on calculations similar to PSR.

Everton raise two fingers as they break rules and survive, Leicester raise another two as their over spend has meant they had a stronger squad and ran away with The Championship.

I love that Simon has emphasized that FFP is a protection racket. It's always been that, and the so called "big" clubs have leveraged it to their advantage at the cost of everyone else. It's disgusting.
Get back to having no rules about club finances.

If clubs dont spend money they can afford to spend, the money will just go to the owners, there wont be a decrease in ticket prices or investment in the local area

Villa's owners are very wealthy, close to the wealthiest that isn't state owned, and want to spend to push on from this fantastic season. Makes total sense why they opposed it.

wouldn't it be easier if a owner was allowed to spend what ever they wanted as long as they could cover the spending and it wasn't leveraged against the club ? so if someone wanted to spend 500 mil of their own money that would be fine as long as it's not linked to the club and only came out of their pockets ?

Excellent conversation here - well done all 3 panelists for breaking down this and going into the details. I don't know what I think about it all, still though...! 😂
