Anyone who thinks that the US didn’t know and assist in the planning is naive

Correct..."the U.S. doesn't control Ukraine" ...since the U.S. does not control it's own country.

"It is illegal to invade a sovereign nation." Yeah, that's rich coming from Vladimir Putin.

😅😮Ukraine did not plan that on their own. That’s NATO and the US fighting Russia

I hated living in Russia, me and my family left to move to US. This is why so many are leaving and move to the West, there are even russians trying to cross Mexico border, thats how desperate we have become

Ivan likes to invade, but doesn't like to be invaded.

The region they've taken is a sparsely populated, rural area with no apparent strategic significance beyond a PR moment. It will not "cut supply lines" - the only way to say that is to assume the Russians were going to attack directly into Sumy. AU can't stop advances in other places, why would they focus on a future advance into Sumy? This simply amounts to a costly PR stunt. The only reason they took it was because it was not really defended. Meanwhile, the main UA logistics hub is about to fall in the south. Mr Orttung is correct that the attempted incursion into the (more significant) Belgorod region was repelled.

The US does know and enable what UA does. The use of ATACMS missiles requires advance targeting assistance and approval from the US. Apparently, the US has withheld approval to use ATACMS in Kursk, thus asserting their control, pushing the UA toward targets that are more highly valued in Washington. That's not to say the US wasn't involved in Kursk, and pleased with its reverberations in the media.

This is a pretty wacky assertion that this war started because Ukraine isn't a NATO member. All the rhetoric about Ukraine joining NATO is exactly what provoked the war. Western military buildup in Ukraine was always a Russian red line and this imaginary world where Ukraine is a NATO member in 2010 thus preventing a war in 2022 is a fantasy.

This guy wants to believe that Russia is still the USSR. Putin has the strong support of 65-75% of the Russian population. This notion that he's a madman protecting his own power is not grounded in reality. Everything he says about Putin actually applies much more accurately to Zelensky.

Shrinking economy? The Russian economy recently surpassed both Japan and Germany. Good grief, this guy must live on kool-aid.

So you literally give them lots of money and don't control their actions? What's the trick?

Battle of Kursk 1943. Read up. A couple thousand Ukrainian troops took it. Right.

who is worse China or Russia? if you believe we should not support Ukraine against russia, then you must also believe that we should not support Taiwan against China, ...when China invades Taiwan and they will invade.

If Putin would have kept this in mind, he would have no worries: Don't do to others what you don't want to be done to yourself.

So cool to hear this guy talking. Ukraine is such an independent country. You can’t beat that!

Correction. It's NOT Ukraine's war against Russia. It's Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine.

Meanwhile in reality Zelenskyy Kursk misadventure already failed spectacularly, but due to his obsession with media hype he is simply incapable even to cut snowballing losses and as always he is just reinforcing the failure. Zelenskyy had a pipe dream to capture Kursk NPP. Capturing at such a staggering cost a string of villages in the middle of nowhere that can't be held makes zero military sense. Zelenskyy wasted so far 2, 860 troops KIA, 317 armored vehicles, 28 artillery systems, 4 anti-aircraft systems on this another costly PR misadventure while vital Ukrainian positions at the actual front are crumbling. It's the same nutty pattern as was with Bakhmut, Krinky or a publicly announced failed Zelenskyy offensive in 2023 . Zelenskyy is the gift that keeps on giving to the Russians advised by even nuttier DC gifts.
