Mono meals are a great way to maintain a healthy diet-strategy while travelling or on the run more than usual - far superior to bars and shakes.

He said not to choose apples because they take too long to eat. I disagree. My favorite mono meal is chopped up Honey Crisp apples. I am in Heaven with them. At night, I love having a plate of them if I need something before bed. Time is not an issue. I like bananas but they are dry as a mono meal. I did mix bananas with juicy pears in a bowl this morning and it made the bananas much more palatable. I have mashed the bananas, and that works, too, as they tend to get goopy. Some people go over the hill with this plan and it can get really radical. I think that we need to keep balance in mind. I am not a vegetarian, so this morning my mono meal was simply eggs. I've had dry toast as a mono meal. But everyone has their own opinion as to what "eating only one food" means. I feel better knowing I can keep a good balance each day. And I did find that after two mono meals in a day, I don't even want to be eating a "normal" meal at night. The closest I can get to "normal" is a meal based on food combining. Because I can't seem to mix starch with meat any more, or starch with fruits, or meats with fruits, or meats with potatoes/pasta. My stomach rebels.

I eat mono every meal, I feel great! All raw and organic. Fruit or vegetables. Sometimes barley soup and cottage cheese or smoked salmon, herbs, honey.

As long as they are whole, mono meals have naturally healthy calorie density as well!

To understand this correctly mono meal is one food at one particular meal or whole day must go with same food

Great stuff. I love a meal with just sweetpotatoe or banana. Had a whole sweetpotatoe with spices for meal 4 yesterday and just bananas for meal 5 yesterday. Great on days with less time for cooking. Or at work if you havent prepped. I had done them sometimes before, but after this video I use them a little more. Seems I get more connected as coach says. And I discovered how to make sweetpotatoe in microwave and even tastes better. Easy!

what about those who are diabetic, can they eat 6 or 7 bananas, or mangoes the whole day without counting calories. any suggestions will be appriciated.

Great video! Question.. lets say I picked brown rice; am I allowed to season that?? I’m assuming using oils to cook it out of the question but what about herbs, spices, salt?
Im so interested in this because I feel it would help my body to distinguish between physical and mental/emotional hunger.

Hey coach, quick question. Is the time between the mono meals still 2 1/2 to 3 hours, when you substitute a mono meal, or longer based on the amount you eat?

Hi coach. I dont think i fully understand yet. You recommend 1-2 mono meal a day. Is that all we are gonna consume? Or 1-2 mono meal in addition to 1-2 normal complete meals with protein starch and veggie?
