Check out our latest F1 2022 feature on race strategies.

To win in Formula One, you not only need the fastest car, and the fastest driver, but the fastest route to the chequered flag, using the best strategy, given the mandated pit stop in every dry race.

And in the modern era, with all the data available, it’s become an artform. The switch to strategic pit stops came in 1982, from design icon Gordon Murray, then with Bernie Ecclestone’s Brabham team. Watch the video, and tell us what you think in the comments…

Using Ferrari it the thumbnail with this title is pure class or is it a clickbait to get one of their engineers to click on the video to actually see what a pit strategy might look like? Lol, I properly love Ferrari!

Ferrari strategy room: cut to a donkey in a barn with an old man smoking a cigar.

It'd be much more exciting if they couldn't tap into their opponents' feeds and radios.

Even when strategists use sophisticated formulas to develop their strategies, the most difficult variable among the assumptions to consider is when Latifi will crash.

Over the top off-site mission control rooms should be banned.
Hardly seems sporting to use rooms of analysts and supercomputers to try to predict race strategies, and It really makes a mockery of F1s so called green initiatives.
"Oh look we saved some fuel with these giant hybrid designs. Shame any savings are dwarfed by the CO2 we belch out just with our mega control rooms. Oh well"
I know mandating trackside strategists would be be hard to police though.

I'll be rolling on the floor if Charles sends Max to the wall in the same spot as last year.

Bloated team BS. All strategy should be driver driven with what they see and feel around them. It's call racing by the seat of the pants.
