The greatest geopolitical threat is the pursuit of absolute security and hegemony by a nation over another nation deemed as its adversaries. This has been manifested time and again in many conflicts.

In the Afghan war, it was terrorism (absolute security). It was USD dominance (hegemony) in the Iraq invasion. And in the current Ukraine crisis, it was the eastward expansion of NATO to the borders of Russia (again absolute security). China, on the other hand, does not pursue absolute security or hegemony. How is it being seen as a threat to the West? The rhetoric of the China Threat can only be rationalized and legitimized when it is viewed from the myopic Western perspective of its pursuit of absolute security and hegemony.

If the West is toying with that idea this time with Russia or China, we are running the risk of WW3 involving a nuclear arsenal capable of destroying all mankind.
