VIDEO INTRODUCTION: We all know China as one of the most powerful countries in the world, and it is so so hard to believe that a country that is known today as the second largest economy in the world with a 12 Trillion dollar GDP, just 45 years back, the same country was crippling with a 60% poverty rate!! While one side, today we see china as a futuristic solar and electric pioneer, the same country in the 1970s, was so backward that Chinese knew nothing but farming and that too during the peak of industrialisation! and lastly, While one side we see this glamorous Sky line of shanghai, its so hard to visualise that country had such a bad economy that millions of people died due to starvation!!
So the question is, what exactly happened from 1978–2018 that China went being an impoverished country to becoming a global super power?

It's very rare an Indian gives a true and positive view on China

I'm neither Chinese nor Indian.
But I'm extremely happy to see that you are looking at the Chinese experiment with an open eye to learn from.
China sets a clear example that if a country and its leadership have their minds set on getting out of poverty and working to improve their people's lives they will succeed. They have also be vigilant not to let the colonial powers interfere in their internal affairs and cause division and chaos.
The west is currently flirting with India to counter China, while in reality they despise both and they have a bloody history dealing with both. They look at China & India with despise and superiority. But if China & India show some real potential then they will consider them a threat and start smearing them with false accusations to make them look evil.
I hope India will succeed and bring more stabilization to this world as much as China will do.
When the colonial powers find their real match they will start to behave in a civil way, not because they want to, but because they have to.

As a Chinese, hope India and China both have a better future. Peace and Love.

The basic problem with India 🇮🇳 is that here the time period between an idea and it's implementation is so huge that sometimes current affairs becomes history till that idea gets implemented.

I do not think it is possible for such rapid economic development in a democracy. There are just too many hurdles and too many people to agree with for anything. I truly believe if China was democratic they wouldn't even be close to what we see them today

China is also investing heavily in software, Robotics & AI, Space Research, Aviation apart from High-speed Rail. A video on these sectors will be great.

Thank you for this quite fair analysis. I know there is currently much division between India and China, but I hope India continues to rise and in the future increase cooperation between the two countries. For thousands of years, the Chinese and Indian civilizations were powerful and on friendly terms. I hope this is the case again soon.

I studied medicine in china. During our first year, we had to learn chinese and believe me our teacher was so so good. In one of her classes she told us how her childhood was. Food was not there for anyone. If they want to eat meats they used to wait for months. And thats how they felt ok with any meat. Today in her sixties she is retired and is doing world tour. Currently she is in europe. I see her having fun. But she used to tell us that these are effort of one full generation. The generation full of misery. Now they are happy ❤❤❤

I am a Chinese person born in 1980. I have witnessed China’s rapid development over the past forty years. Let me share my thoughts. China was a poor country that needed to develop. The government had to develop long-term plans and execute them steadfastly. Regarding work and overtime, we are not on the same platform as developed Western countries. To reduce the gap, the only solution is diligent work. My mother is 70 years old and she is still working hard. Although I want her to stop, the work ethic runs through her veins, to create wealth. I hope that the Chinese and Indian people can become friendly nations and create an Asian century.

Very well research talk on the topic especially when you mentioned the special economic zone which is hardly mentioned by most other talks. Even many talks on the 'Economics of China' left that very important chapter of China's growth starting from the special economic zone out of their talks. People talked about how China's high speed rail lost money which to them is kinda stupid. But we now know how far the Chinese looked ahead. This is the scary part of China, they planned very far ahead, incurring initial losses but talking the whole world subsequently. China's high speed rail had speed up China's growth further which cannot be accounted for by the losses that they incurred on just the rail itself while the Chinese enjoyed a stable and high speed travelling in comfort which also speed up the development. China's high speed rail is some of the best in the world with the expertise they gain after they had built such a massive high-speed rail infrastructure.

This must be the most positive explanation on the rise of China from our Indian channel . We have to appreciate and learn so much from China. It's amazing how China which was sliced into many parts under the imperialism of Germany, France, England, USA and Japan imperialist were treated like slaves got their independence and rise silently.

People don't expect such rapid growth and development. But look at China how they've successfully launched space stations independently without the help of any so-called developed countries and USA. Look at the trade, commercial and economic partnerships around the world from Asia and, Africa to South America. Look at the technology they've built for infrastructure and 5g network which by the way the USA doesn't have yet.

China's development began in 1949, with the establishment of an industrial base and management system from 1949 to 1976, medium-speed development from 1976 to 1996, and rapid development from 1996 to 2018.
