I should have played Sonic generations first instead of Shadow Generations because the controls for Shadow was so much smoother than Sonic's controls

Sonic team have really shown the fans they care over the past few years even if some of the games arent perfect you can tell they're tryong their hardest to make sonic a strong brand again I hope they keep this energy up.

This version has multiple save slots which is a game changer, I wish a lot of other games that only had auto saves would have remasters that give the game multiple save slots.

This game rules but GOD they need to let us disable Modern Sonic's Drop Dash. Its so annoying when I accidentally activate it (which is basically the only time it gets used)

The question is: how did Silver end up in white space? We never see how he was sucked in or in what time. He wasn't in the opening cutscene of gens, either.

My favorite Sonic game ever made. Nostalgia is the only thing PERSONALLY that could have me say something like Sonic Mania, Sonic 3, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Unleashed or something.

It’s easily the most consistently fun, refreshing, and exhilarating experience in a single package in the series. There simply AREN’T low points for me in this game. I thought Doom Surf was a little clunky then got used to it. I thought Doom Morph was a little clunky then got used to it. You get everything in this package. 2D and 3D Sonic from his best designed levels. 2D (for the first time) and 3D Shadow levels from his greatest hits and some where he’s never been. Each character’s stages are endlessly replayable. I see myself playing Shadow’s stages over and over and over just driving down the time and exploring optimal paths.

The gameplay is top notch quality rollercoaster fun. It’s the best adrenaline rush I’ve gotten from the series thus far. It’s simply the best package available for $50 SEGA has ever put out, that’s my personal opinion.

Buy this 2 game package.
I have absolutely NO PROBLEM personally (that’s key there) buying the digital deluxe on my Steam Deck to play it 3 days early and also pre-ordering a physical PS5 copy for that unique box art and to play it 60 FPS 120hz on an OLED TV.

Sonic Team and SEGA deserve sharp criticism when they get it wrong but they deserve ALL the praise when they get it THIS right. THIS is now the standard going forward.

I grew up playing the Shadow the Hedgehog (and of course Sonic Heroes) game on my Gamecube. I learned how to hook up my Gamecube to my VHS player so I could record my playthroughs on tapes. I haven't played a Sonic game since then. This game has revamped my love for the Sonic series.

Wow, glad to hear this game is so wonderful. I want to get this for Switch Shadow is my favorite character in this franchise. I wish they would flesh out the other characters' backstories for the video game timeline. Just like they are doing with the Sonic movies.
