There’s another ad where Maddie leans against a statue and an underground staircase appears. There’s also an extended version of Granny getting arrested where after Maddie sees the writing on Granny’s hand the car drives away and the cop looks at Granny in the rear view mirror, smiles and hands her the keys to her handcuffs. Granny smiles back and takes off the handcuffs .

I’ve also seen an ad where Maddie is painting the wall, and pulls away wallpaper to reveal a door, which makes Grandma nervous, and when Maddie opens the door, grandma looks ashamed. We don’t see what’s behind the door, but whatever it is, it was clearly something that Grandma wanted to keep hidden…

the way the ad campaign works is incredibly meta. You play as Maddie and are used to help rebuild the house [play the game]. Ultimately, this is for the benefit of the grandma [game devs] and they get big big moneys and u get scammed.

It's just crazy how MatPat can look at several game advertisements and come up with such deep lore like this

The "you're next" message on granny's hand might not be a warning/threat, but rather granny handing off something in her secret past/present(?). Kind of like passing the torch.
As to the "he's alive" one, I doubt it's about her fiancé, but rather her dad or grandfather. While the "I planned this" would have something to do with her secrets, and her getting arrested was part of it. Possibly to get Maddie to follow whatever it is granny wants, or maybe just to reassure her that granny has everything under control.

The picture looked more like a polaroid or the like rather than a professional pic, but that's really subjective. It was probably taken during the wedding rehearsal. I hear that's a thing with big weddings.

I think somebody planned a lot more story, but I doubt it got made.
As to the game, it rather sucks for several reasons, and has nothing to do with the ads, which I'm sure qualify as deceptive advertising. Sadly they aren't the only scumbags doing that.

Yeah, Merge Mansion totally surprised me with how little it tried to nickel and dime me at time of playing. No clue how it is recently, but it genuinely respected my time.

Maddie has a solid alibi for the fire: being at the wedding. Which also clears her of the potential murder. As for being an accessory, there are 2 outs for her. One is the fact that she was completely unwitting, having no reason to suspect the pie. The other is that Granny can't possibly escape. Filing your way out is impossible to accomplish, even for a younger person.

It's crazy how GT went from science of "if or how games work" to honestly just lore videos. I'm not complaining, but I certainly think FNaF changed this channel a whole lot.

I've seen multiple ads where grandma is raking leaves over knives, and looking at Maddie suspiciously. I saw one shortly after where grandma is burning a piece of paper and Maddie walks in. Grandma then gets scared and runs to multiple hidden compartments. "What is Grandma hiding?"

I'd like to add to this theory by saying that Arthur might have ran away from the wedding because of the grandma herself. If Matpat's theory is correct and her plan is to use her granddaughter as a way to get the family fortune all to herself, then it would make sense for her to scare the fiancee away. Then all would fall right in to her plan.

Pre-wedding photos exist, Matpat. They are usually taken on an entirely separate day to the wedding too.
