So well done! thanks for explaining this to me.

It took me forever to find a video of someone actually proving this instead of just saying that you invert the denominator and multiply without actually explaining WHY. And it ended up being what sounded like a 12 year old girl. Wow, and I actually kinda thought I was smart. But thank you lol.

Why do you "Multiply the numerator and denominator by the reciprocal of the denominator"?

For me it feels like there is more intuitive way to understand the topic.

Look, (a/b) / (w/o), to simplify the complex fraction we want to multiply both sides by denominators, so
(a/b*b*o) / (w/o*o*b)
We know that a/b*b = a, so
(a*o)/(w*b)
as you can see we got the same result as if we would use "keep change flip" or multiplication by fractions as you showed.

Look, in "keep change flip" we would get (a/b) * (o/w) which is equal to my result above, because in order to multiply fractions you concatenate them and got one fraction (a*o)/(w*b)

I don't understand why we multiply the numerator and denominator by the reciprocal of the denominator @3:18 Can you explain this, please?
