This is the most confusing thing in math I have veer seen. My school years were put of the US, I learned math un general in a whole different way, even simple division is different. Once I moved to the States and was able to go to college (12 years after graduating HS) I started with college algebra and most of the stuff i had already seen in 9th grade and above. I was always finishing first and my professor had me show him my work a few times, then he told me he also learned the same way (he was from Ethiopia) but that the "American way" tends to add too many unnecessary steps 😏

Could you make a video that gives an example of a fraction quotient that is less than one and not involving whole numbers? For example: 5/7 divided by 13/8. Using the area model.

Can you tell us the limitation of such operation? I made up one situation that I can't come up with an answer using your method (4/7) / (3/4). However, I can get the anser using my method: (4/7) x (4/3) = 16/21 which is < 1.

My second question is what makes a fraction dividing by another fraction meaningful or useful? Is there any application of such operation in practise?
