Oh look a person doom saying in order to get views cause it's the popular thing to do right

How's that extra revenue stream you get from viewers who are scared right now?

According to you people are gonna be spending less money. Yeah that's a given but then you tell them to get an extra revenue stream like it's so easy to do in your vision of doom. People spend less money so way less revenues streams....

Remember kids, you are not an employee, you are a mercenary. Always have this in mind and NEVER have any loyalty to any company, ever.

I’ve always said it, best to multiply your incomes via stocks and investments. Tho, there may be downturns but it’s very profitable especially when done with proper systems

I studied accounting, and for years I always say when people talk about whether or not we are in a recession then we are probably already in a recession. What frightens me most is the inflation and supply chain issues. Since we know it is happening, make a plan.

I keep wanting to leave my job, because I dislike it so much, but stuff like this has me thinking twice about leaving.

Used to be a trucker, this sounds about right, depending on tank size. On average 200-300 gallons per day, depends on load weight and terrain.

Bryan, very wise words. For years I worked in international business, we saw signs of the 2008-2009 economic crash at least 2 years in advance. I started preparing & when my dept was shut down in late '07 I was well-prepared to weather the storm. The economic indicators have been speaking to us for a while. We need to pay off debt, line up side gigs, save money, build up our household goods and be ready to move into a new line of work if necessary. It's just smart planning. Appreciate all you do for us!! 😀

I’ve been begging you to cover this…thanks for doing so! I am tempted to undergo another job search but my current company is offering pay raises earlier than usual and we’ll still have bonuses later on in the year. They’re trying to buy our loyalty. There’s no way to guarantee tenure but raises seem like a good sign of stability. I don’t want to jump ship and end up being laid off elsewhere. Such a tough spot to be in.

Not a trucker, but a tax preparer for a number of truckers. In the past, I’d say the average trucker here in Idaho spends ~$50, 000 in fuel for the year. His post and the costs he highlights if correct could easily be business breaking for the people I meet.

I have been looking for a new job as I am drastically underpaid. Now I am nervous to jump to a new job because of this very reason. I don't want to be the new guy right when the market takes a

My, that was an unexpected doom post. When big companies are gloating about how much profit they're making, you know where this inflation is from. I'm hoping people get smart (that's a really slim hope) and do look at the man behind the curtain and see who's causing our economy to implode as prices skyrocket. While us normal people struggle to survive a certain group are still living in a golden age of mansions and yachts.

Thanks for highlighting the importance of trucking. Some people get annoyed by trucks on the road but they're there to bring the stuff you buy!

Independent truckers and fleets need to do things to save fuel to stay in business.

You didn't touch on this but it's an important metric to pay attention to what method people are spending with on anything. People are falling behind on credit card debt and are using it to buy gas and food. I repeat, GAS and FOOD. That means it's becoming unaffordable to get basic necessities. Gas prices in California right now are essentially at the federal minimum wage, which is telling. If you don't discharge your debts of all types now, work remotely now, eat at home more, grow your own food where you can, and invest when and where you can you're going to be in a world of pain.

Thank you for posting. Most of your viewers are middle class and can't afford to have things candy coated. We need to the wake up call.

As someone who imports products and has them delivered by plane and truck... it's a complete Hellscape. Pre-COVID I could place an order from overseas by plane and get that ordered delivered in 7-10 days. Now? It takes 4-5 weeks, by boat it's 5-6 weeks and takes two weeks just to get it on a boat. A huge part of my costs aren't for product but just transportation. It's awful. I got laid off on June 1st, but taking Bryan's advice I had an offer the next day because I got a head start. I started that job, got another I start the next week and three other freelance gigs besides my ecomm store. To paraphrase a Sublime song, "I score two gigs before I score two gigs... then I score some more." Really the only way now to start dodging financial bullets.

The most frustrating thing is knowing certain energy companies are making exceptional profits and COULD boost production but are choosing not to.

Same here in the Philippines, prices are sky rocketing and I agree that we need to cut down on something to prepare for this.

Thank you so much for this. I didn't think about what a massive impact the gas prices have beyond just commuting, and this makes sense!
