Can you get Dolby Atmos without eArc?

Is it possible to get Dolby Atmos sound with an older TV using Arc rather than eArc?

Has the update change it so one does not have to pull out the sound cable and plug in again to get sound like you said, as that happened with my 4k dvd player, untill l got a 8k cable, then it was worked perfect

This is stellar information and exactly what I need. I find myself with a great 4K TV without Dolby Atmos that’s still too new to upgrade, which means I can’t take full advantage of my Sonos Arc, Sub, and rear speakers.

Great video. I was looking at this device for my Atmos soundbar w/ non Atmos tv. For those who are looking at this device because your TV doesn't support Atmos but soundbar does, i found another alternative solution that might work for you.
If your soundbar has hdmi input, you can get a 4kfiretv stick or googletv and plug into the hdmi input. The audio will send straight to the soundbar and you can get Dolby Atmos. (The output of the soundbar will send the video of the device you using to the TV)

Working great. Atmos is working. Any idea if my tv already had Dolby Vision, should I change something on the Arcana? Or is default okay?

I read somewhere that your third problem issue can be solved by plugging in the arcana into a usb of the tv or another device that u turn on when u watch tv and not plug it directly into another outlet. Basically power and signal sync .

Some sound bars, like Vizio have this feature built in and with more than one port. You are right you do not need a new TV (I did not want to loose my 3D) for ATMOS and Dolby Vision. Apple TV does both and more, you just need a device to “read” it. Some ATMOS sound bars will do it for you with a pass trough.

I can't get Dolby Atmos to work with the device. Don't own a Sonos Arc but a different Soundbar which is capable of Dolby Atmos and DTS X. But the Arcana only shows up Bitstream 48 khz. Do I need to turn on Sonos Beam ARC in the settings. Thanks. This is a great video and was very helpful.

Great video thank you. I also have intermittent no-sound issue with my 2021 4K Apple TV, Sonos Arc and Samsung Q90R TV. I found that if you bring up Samsung built-in home screen, and click on volume up or down button, then go back to Apple TV screen you will get sound back without rebooting HD Fury. I plan to update the HD Fury firmware and hope they fixed this

Hope you get this soon. I am decent with technology but can't figure out the order. I'm having a hard time figuring out the order between my Roku Ultra, Vizio Atmos soundbar, and TV with ARC.

My TV does not have an HDMI ARC or eARC port, just the normal 3x HDMI ports, I have got Samsung Q990B (2022) Sound bar with Sub and Rear speaker capabale of Dolby Atmos. Does this device provides a work around to enjoy the sound system at its full potential, without buying a new TV? Thanks
