Andrew, this is by far the most comprehensive and easy to digest video for someone that has only basic knowledge of a home theater setup. I'm replacing my 10yr. old Onkyo with a unit that has 4K pass-through audio capability. All this sounds crazy. One guy on the other you tube channel says up-firing (Klipsch 40SA) sitting on the main L+R speakers are not good. He says don't waste your money. Says - Use either bookshelf on the wall directed at the seating position or in-ceiling.

Now, Andrew is saying different. I am confused.

Here is the thing: I live in a rental apartment. Cutting the ceiling for the speakers, running wires? My landlord will charge me a hefty fine. Upfiring on top the speaker is the way to go. I already have a 5.1 setup off of the Denon Receiver. I have two "OLD" bookshelf speakers. I can hang them things on the wall behind my TV. Will that be sufficient?Will I get the effect of atmos?

All that will cost me are two iron brackets. Sure, I can put two holes to install hefty brackets. Landlord wouldn't know. Just the wires will hang from those speakers that may look ugly.

So I am going to go by what Andrew says. Anyone care to comment for renters like me?
