I tried building mine, i guess i put the parts in wrong. I'll try again, or just give it to someone who can do that type of thing.

I have the same exact kit but a different instruction booklet which are the absolute WORST set of instructions EVER!!! They make no sense and the illustrations keep showing the components mounted in different places upon the board!! They have made the RED wire from the battery terminal neg and the black positive!! There is NO information on polarity of the board or indeed the ic component. It is a useless kit unless Haynes can send me a proper and correct instruction booklet like you seem to have
