Haynes DIY Retro Radio

Let's build a radio! This is a retro one, not DAB or anything fancy like that, but the radio is on an integrated circuit, so it's just putting a few things together. Lovely. Why not try it yourself?

Very nice. That's a nice way to learn wiring. I just started an Arduino training kit, and even though it's for beginners, something like this would have been a helpful 1st step. Great video, as always!

Built one today but getting one radio station followed every instruction wired up the tuner but cannot work out why the tuner doesn't work this is my first time ever working in is it called electronics even though working with batteries followed the diagram as I turned the pages the placing parts kept moving from one page to another so I went through it again got a crackle then sound then capital radio but the tuner moves and I ve followed every item piece by piece but tuner turns but doesn't scan channels, any idea please

I can't make sense of the instructions! Each diagram shows the components in different sections on the board! It makes no sense! The black wire turns out to be positive and the red neg!! No explanation of polarity. How did you work it out?
