This is a great vid! Short and to the point. Now if the replacement card is one that the laptop manufacturer says is compatible, do we need to reinstall the WLAN driver? Point is the driver sometimes seems differ based on WLAN manufacturer.

Hi, very good video on this upgrade, but please explain more clearly what you gained by this modification.
You replaced DW1701 wi fi card with new model DW1705 wi fi card.
So did this just add 5.0 GHz connection capability?, or did it also improve your bluetooth connection properties.
You explanation would increase my understanding of why this upgrade is usefull.
