*FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:*
_Will they be available in other countries, and when?_
Yes, they will be available in other countries but Govee has not shared specific plans. It depends on capacity after the US launch.

Yes, other lengths and extra strings will be available but Govee has not shared specific plans. It depends on capacity after the US launch.

_I need more than 100 feet. What should I do?_
Unless you're willing to wait for additional size kits, I suggest you buy two 100-foot kits. You can keep the extra strings and controller as a backup, use them elsewhere around your home, or resell them.

Thank you for the comparisons. I just put up the original ones a month or so ago. Love them. Then ran across your video that there are newer ones! I just wanted to tear mine down and get these Pros. But, after seeing your comparisons, I didn't see any wow factor that I expected. Thank you for sharing!

Go figure, just got done putting up 400' of the original lights on my house, and another 400' on my parents' house... however, I think I like the originals compared to the added price tag. I don't like the splicing option, looks pretty bulky and would need to definitely be mounted with hardware, then also try to find somewhere to tuck them away on each splice to not be an eyesore. Here's my vote from them to also release a brown version of the lights, to give all the common soffit/eaves colors an easy option! Would be nice to see the max brightness differential. I know its hard to capture with a camera, but that's the biggest selling point of the Pros, and we can't really see how that looks on your house in this video. What do all those extra lumens actually do compared to the originals?

I just ordered the originals from
Amazon, but will be returning them and getting the Pros. Thank you for the video. The only reason I’m changing them is for the warm white option that I can’t get with the originals. Also. The 200ft length works better for my installation.

Originals are $229 at Sam's right now. I can't convince myself Pros are worth $400 over $229 so I'm ordering originals. Thanks for the helpful video!

Thanks for the video. Considering I plan to use white light 90% of the time. The pro is worth the upgrade for me. However for many people I don’t;t think it is worth the upgrade.

I think the original ones are better. The lights are closer together and have the lights blurr together for a solid look. The PRO ones look too spaced out and are choppy. I would rarely light up my house white for day-to-day operation. Mostly used for holidays like Halloween or Christmas! Maybe the prices will do on the originally when the pro goes on sale!

Just decided to look these lights up again and noticed there's a "pro" version out now. I don't need black because my soffits are white, the brightness seems to be too similar to tell, plus I live on a street with zero lights and my house would be plenty bright already. I prefer the closer together setup with more lights per string. I'm not afraid of splicing to make it fit in the areas I need them to fit. I do think having the adjustable white temps would be nice but I don't think that single feature alone is worth it to me to buy the Pro over the standard lights since I'll likely leave the white alone anyways. Thank you for the video and the comparison breakdown.

I was debating on taking back the original set and getting the pros but after watching this the originals will be going up. Govee should come out with colored wire covers to match your house.

Great video. What would they look like if installed closer to wall then 2"? I have some side areas where there is no overhang.

Tape is for setting, clips are for securing. Makes it easier to install before breaking out the tools.

I would have liked to see some basic color setups for popular holidays.

Ordered a 200ft kit of these after watching your video! I am curious how many splicing adapters come with the kit? Sorry if you said this in your video.

Figures... I just put up the original version last week (bought them a couple of months ago) and I didn't even see a pro version on their website, or I would have got those instead. Having said that, I still quite happy with my purchase, I spliced my own where required anyways without issue. The only two things that bug me is they're all white. Not a great look on a house with all deep brown trim and soffits. The second is the programming, I'm sure some kid would have no issue but in my 60s and I find it user unfriendly and frustrating. I'm sure they could be made simpler to self program in somehow. Overall, they do look great on the house, and I'm happy with the result. Thanks for the video.

Do you know if you can make a three way split with the pro lights? I have an outlet under my eve in the middle of my house. Ideally I would put in a splitter at the outlet and have one strand going left and one going right. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I had never heard of those lights before. Thanks
I'm going to consider putting them on my house after I have it painted.

The difference between the 2 sets that I could see other than difference in the whites is where the puddle of light stops. The original has a wider light puddle than the pro.
I sort of wish they made the original in the pro's trim. I prefer the light from the original but the convenience of the pro's whirring and the wider puddle of light.

Great video. Question: can you set an individual bulb to a specific color? Wanting to know if I can set my own color scheme such as red, green, red, green or maybe white white, red red, green green, etc? I can't figure out from watching and researching if it's only four bulbs at a time must be the SAME color or can I change an individual bulb???

I have been considering for a while. Called a pro company (Trimlight) and they wanted thousands of dollars. My hesitation is that my trim is dark brown, so I know white wouldn’t work, maybe black would be ok. I wish they were a little closer together. And an additional $100 seems excessive, but what other options are there.

Thank you for the video and comparison. I am fine with white & don't need to splice, so sticking with the original. Much appreciated info though!

If you cut the lights from one string and add them to another, how does this impact the lighting pattern programs?
I greatly appreciate your video. I wanted the effects on changing colored lights for different holidays. So I definitely do not need the added white light feature of the pro version. I am going to see if I can put these in translucent plastic eggshells to see if they will mimic bulbs. Perhaps I will make a video to see how well it turns out. I will stick with the less expensive version.
I think the pro version uses the white LEDs to indicate the 50lm output, as I did not see any appreciable difference between the two sets with the colors demonstrated in your video, other than the more full coverage with the earlier model.
If you splice or clip the string, do you void the warranty or the extended warranties? I would like to know so I don’t get the added protection that would not apply to me if I cannot replace them if they fail.
