They have a Pro kit that is available in white or black. Also it brings accessories to cut the wire and joint again in a weather protected manner. Also the power supply in the Pro kit is 3 Amp, so you could easily go up to 200 feet. Btw cutting the wires on the lights you already have is not an issue, its a simple 3 wire setup. As of this writing the Pro kit is not on Govee website, but it will be.

I used some painters tape and taped off the lights themselves and just spray painted the white cord. I ended up being able to color match perfectly so even during the day you can’t see the wires unless you’re REALLY looking and know what you’re looking for.

for the 3 pin extension cord has 2 sizes, small or large

Not saying I did or didn’t but the lights can be cut and spliced for rooflines that don’t fit the standard 16’4” lengths.

You can absolutely cut and spice these, you just need to use weather proof butt connectors and make sure your connections are sealed. They tell you that they don't recommend it because they won't warranty any DIY work that you do on them which is reasonable. Just be sure to stay under the recommended length or you may have power drop and control signal loss. The chances of these lengths being exactly the lengths that you need are incredibly small.

Extension cables need to be a must have accessory. They should come in brown white or black

You can spray paint the cable, also you can cut the cable, govee will not warranty the lights, but I saw in another channel professional splice the cable and used the extension cord to jump the gaps in your roof

Definitely agree on the color! We just put them up today on a BROWN house. I may spray paint the wires and the box. Maybe

I just started installing these lights and it took some planning and thinking through all of everything you said. Yes you are correct. You did an amazing job explaining this👌👍👍

Long storty short you was better off getting 3 packs of 50ft instead of one pack of 150ft.

I think Govee is making great strides with this latest Pro version, but I agree with you about he color options and extension accessories. They're just not there yet for me. I'd also like to see a smaller, all-in-one power supply and controller box. As it is, there are too many boxes and cables to hide.
Great, informative video!.

I agree! Govee should sell parts for these lights. I ended up buying another kit for parts

Good video. You can easily splice 20/3 gauge wire inbetween sets. I have also cut in-between lights and spliced wire in. Just be careful on the length of the spliced run. Also the wire and light blocks are paint-able.

As of now there's a 200ft pro edition and you can now buy extentions separately. And they have them in black now. Govee is listening.
Oh and the newest kits have splicing tools and connections. 😁

Is it possible to power these lights from the center of the chain using a splicing connector included in the kit? I don't have any outlets at either end of my house...AND...if I did install a plug at the end, it's highly unlikely that my wifi signal would reach it since my house is concrete block. I'm looking for alternatives before I purchase these. Thanks for the in-depth video - especially your experience with altering the wiring!

Totally agree. We should be able to buy accessories ! The new PRO version does allow cutting etc. and comes in BLACK . You did a great job ! Looks great.

You answered a lot of the questions that I was concerned about. Thanks for the information!

2 questions, I have 5 breaks on a 150ft set. The extension cords you mentioned would total less than 20ft. Will I need to remove a set of lights to make it power correctly? Is there a tool I can buy to cut and splice? Is there a video to help with this? Thanks your video really helped me a lot.

Great video

I have 4 sets of lights
How do I group a set of Lights together so I could control two or more stings at a time at once rather that having Change each sting of lights individually?

Also what setting you use to get the light to run like that from 0:54 in your video ?

Thanks
