The notification popup that begs for likes is literally covering the thing you are trying to show as the MAIN information in this video.
I'm sure most people can extrapolate what you were trying to show, but come on, that's just weak editing.

These are the only ones I see on how to fix lag on youtube and it doesn't even work. Is there any other way besides this?

Works perfectly, I was wondering why with a fresh install of windows with an 8700k and 2080ti I was dropping frames when scrolling, I must have had this disabled before reinstalling windows hehe

This is for Chrome as the author said, it won't work for Firefox.
Firefox has no "three dots". To get to settings in Firefox, click on the circle in the upper right that has your channel (next to the bell) to access "settings". This brings up a menu on the left where you can select "advanced settings", however "advanced settings" has none of what he claims. Neither does "playback and performance" offer any way to do this.

Yeah, this don't work.
I use opera gx. I don't have hardware acceleration on. 5k out of 15k frames dropped.

My oc doesn't suck either.
2600x cpu with 32gb 3000mhz ram, 1070 gpu. 2tb ssd etc.

There should be no reason why my pc is dropping nearly 50% of its frames in some cases.

So why is this happening?

Nope. Still massive dropped frames (hundreds of frames dropped). i5 11th gen and 16 Gb ram. Nothing helped, switched to Firefox, there it works perfectly. So now I am forced to work on Chrome but play youtube on Firefox. Super annoying.

besides the dropped frames, when i was watching anything in full screen my screen would freeze for a second, activating hardware acceleration fixed those issues for me using opera GX

For me turning off Enhanced Sync (AMD) was the fix. There is some problem with Enhanced Sync STILL and I have a monitor that supports it. Instead, I enabled the setting of VSYNC - On (Unless Application Specifies It). You can leave hardware acceleration ON in the browser just with this change. I only get 1 to 3 dropped frames now.

I actually had to enable that one to fix it, lol. Also in the stats for nerds things it wasnt registering any dropped frames, but i could see them drop with my eyes. Just weird idkk.
