omg the first step really works, i was having problem that none of the youtube thumbnails were loading and when i relaunched google after disabling hardware acceleration all thumbnails loading in a second, thnx a lot man

Turn off hardware acceleration and its like getting a new pc again no joke. This man just might have saved me 2 grand. Liked, Subbed and god damn, thank you.

Edit: I did some more research and in short it is your extensions that are causing this lag. Hardware Acceleration basically allows extensions to access use your hardware (gpu) to run. For me I had a few old extensions that I figured were now just not being used so they were turned to some sort of bloatware. I removed old extensions I don't use anymore, turned the feature back on and youtube/chrome still runs great.

None of these methods worked. Surprisingly I had to deactivate ad block on Youtube to solve the problem.

For me it was Adblock...slowed everything down on youtube. Uninstalled the extension and installed Ublock. Loads like it used to now.
