WAGO connectors have actually been used in Germany since the 1970ies replacing screw terminal blocks. We never used wire nuts. More than three decades of use have proven their longevity and reliability and now virtually all new installations use them. I have recently wired our whole house in the Philippines exclusively with WAGOs. Probably the first house fully wired with WAGOs in a city of two million, where most installations use only twist-and-tape (without wire nuts or screw terminals).

Wagos have been a lifesaver in my 1940's house. As I have updated wiring and added switches and outlets it has reduced a lot of the stress of dealing with old wires.

I recently started using these connectors, they made changing out a light a dream. The electrical was the easiest part, love these!

I started using Wago connectors because of your video a couple years ago, and I've never looked back. They have saved me so much time on electrical projects. I actually used a bunch of the inline version 2 days ago on a kitchen cabinet lighting project. Thank you for all your great advice!

I just used my very first 221 Wago connector today on a new outlet, and it made the task much easier than what I was used to. I'm looking forward to doing the other couple of dozen outlets in my new garage now. Big DIY Wago fan here!!!

You can get shrink wrap with a water proof lining on the inside. When you heat it up and it shrinks the, “goop” on the inside softens then molds to the wire to give you a hermetically sealed connection. Used it a lot in the millitary.

These things are right up there with sliced bread. I do work for a realtor fixing rentals after people move out. Replacing lights, ceiling fans, broken outlets and all is literally a "snap" now. I love it!

I have been an electrician since the early 80's and Wagos were just getting to the stated and were a bit pricey. I did use them where they were advantageous back then. Now that I'm older with arthritis in my hands, they are my standard method. Never had an issue with the push in type or lever style. It makes it easy to push the splices into the box as well. When troubleshooting, you don't need to untwist the entire splice and you can test each wire easily. Way 2 go.

I see a major benefit to the inline when extending inside a circuit breaker box. It will make for a much neater installation when moving breakers around.

I love the Wago's. Never had a failure, very fast. Really works well when you have really short wires in a box and can't get a wire nut on without losing your temper.

I actually proposed this to Wago a few times over the years, both when I met them at industry fairs and by contacting them by mail. They never seemed very interested in the idea and one time they told me there was no market for such a product. :)

Because of you, I bought these in-line connectors to replace the crimp connectors in my car audio system, to more specific, for the bass knob. And I have to say these really make a great connection! And of course because they are reusable, I can upgrade said knob or replace it in the future! Thank you for making such great informational videos!

I’ve been using Wago’s for about 10 years. The newer reusable lever versions are awesome. Never had one fail. I bought a box of various twist nut connectors years ago, I’ve still got the box, it’s still 100% full, I never used a single one.

Wagos really are the best, I wired my entire house with these, made everything easy to connect. Best feature in my view is how easily you can connect solid and stranded wire with them, the Wagos hold either type quite well.

I have no experience and no plans for any electrical projects, but watching this video makes me want to do it.

I probably won't.

In Europe we have gel filled boxes (their name is Gelbox) specially for Wago terminals, by using those you can use wagos even under water. It has IPX8 rating, and it's really convenient. But I'm not sure if you can buy it in the us.

They are life changing. I got my first set working at a venue where we were upgrading several lights switches. The day I try them another tech shows up to setup an event outside and I see a box of them sitting in his work box. He had just got his 2 days before. Before you know it there are 5 guys in a circle just geeking out like little girls with a new doll over them. Recently at that same venue had to replace 3 dimmers with smart dimmers in the same box that was smashed full of loose wire nuts. 1000% cleaner and easier to work with using wagos as well as making it super easy to find a faulty circuit. We use them with 3D printers as well to avoid recrimping terminals on common things that die like heater cartridges, thermisters, and powersupplies. They also make probe adaptors so you can meter your connections with minimal effort.

I would never know about this stuff without this channel. Thanks.

I have also used WAGO 221 in the car where it is dry. There's no problem. WAGOs are also ship approved if it is in a dry box.
Also good for all where the cables have to be changed again.
