Use Wago Connectors instead of Wire Nuts

These are also great to connect wires that for whatever reason are too short. I recently came across a problem where I only had about 2" to work with, not giving me enough wire to twist onto in the box, I used these connectors and it saved me from having to rewire the whole area.

Seems like wire nuts (when used properly) have been around for quite awhile and installed in many projects just fine. It's great to have options to choose from though.

I used these last time I worked on Ceiling fans and they all had stranded wire. Easy to use and the wire did not pull out

Pro tip, use a connector with one more slot that’s not being used so you can check voltage with your multimeter without having to disconnect the connectors you’re welcome

I'm an electrician and when you have one solid and one stranded, you start the solid around the stranded first, then twist them together.
and two solids but different sizes, you start the larger around the smaller first, then twist them both together.

Just push the solid wire in no need to open

Some houses mostly the old ones have aluminium wires instead of copper, never mix copper wires with aluminum ones in high amperage applications, they might have the same gage size but conductivity and resistance are totally different from one another.

Try soldering and shrink tubes, more cost effective

23awg wires... even some solid ethernet cables are thicker lol

It’s pronounced waygo but spelled wago. Not waggo. Also it will only pull out if you suck at putting wire nuts on. I always do a strong tug test. But wagos is best.
