The chief invited my son and I to a native salmon bake and a beer in Telegraph Creek one year. We camped at the end of the road in Telegraph Crk on our way up to Prudhoe Bay on motos. Some day I hope to paddle from there out to Wrangle from there, FYI.. They hauled oil drums up from there to the Dease River to fuel the building of the Alcan hwy. Lot of history back there, Would never go back there on bikes in the rain. It's like riding a tile floor with vaseline smeared on it. Been there several times. When my son and I rode there, he just turned 18 and this was my HS graduation present to him. Father-son ride to Prudhoe Bay and back. Precious memories for sure. Too bad you couldn't spend more time. There is a lot to see and explore there. BTW. The upper portion of the river was only successfully navigated in the 80's. It's pretty dangerous. Waiting for the next chapter. Glad they never built the proposed dam. Cheers ~GrizzLee

I only admire and enjoy the videos of two riders, Noraly and Adam Riemann. But now, as I’ve discovered your channel I find myself enjoying your videos as well! Even tho you have no prior experience and just started riding a motorcycle, you always push yourself into new challenges, and you never fail to amaze me! You also deliver high-quality content with excellent filming, editing, and storytelling. Everything is great and professional. I really admire the effort you put in, and I’m curious to see how this adventure of yours will go. I’ll be following along until the end. Keep up the great work, man!

I gotta say, Itchy Boots has a competitor, I'm absolutely loving your style, beautiful Canadian landscapes and a motorcycle is my dream to achieve one day.

For the plate, use bolts and loctite. Point load, shock load and vibrations cause even the thickest zipties to fail.

So glad you show us all the mistakes we would otherwise make as beginner globetrotter. Don’t think your zipties are safe for your plate, they will tear very quickly from the vibrations and sharp edges of the plate. Buy an aluminium subplate and bolt everything thight. Check al your bolts every few days, since your riding a real vibrator. Love your channel, mr. Itchy Boots.

I live in Australia and have been riding off road motorikes for 50 years - in the sloppy mud, try letting the tyres down to around 15psi and then pump them back up when you are out of the mud, it gives more surface on the road. Also, I would tether the licencel plate with some wire or string so if it does come off, it wont leave the bike. Just a thought. Love the vids.

I think every Canadian should get out on the road at some point of their young lives to truly appreciate the size and beauty of our country. I’ve driven coast to coast twice and still long to do it again before I die.

Small correction! In this video I pronounce the word Tahltan incorrectly. The correct pronunciation is "Tall-tan".

I've been riding motorcycles for three years and tried to change my tires myself... couldn't even get the tires off.

You've just started riding and you know how to change a tire super fast.

You > me.

"Permanent" plate install: 1/8" pop rivets with back-up washers and a few inches of 1/2" nylon coated galvanized strapping. The strapping (often called plumber strapping) is looped over the front of the plate to the back of the plate bracket. My KLX 250 plate hasn't budged since 2008. Lots of rough stuff riding in that time. Good thing the days are long gone when we got a new plate every year.

Gotta say i have been loving this new series. Your BCPov still has 400k more subscribers. I know you have the one trailer over there for this new channel. But theres gotta be a way to bring more of them over. Maybe posting an episode trailer every now and then on there for a while to see if it helps you pull more viewers over. I imagine the crossover can be very high for YT. Afterall they are your fans.

So a couple of things to consider:

1) an EPERB - and wear it on your body not the bike

2) insurance for emergencies - global rescue is a great company

3) travel insurance - there are only a few insurance companies that will provide insurance for international motorcycle travel

4) a medical bracelet- blood group and any allergies

5) who to call in an emergency - I don’t mean to be negative but you need a plan for when it all turns to mud.
Personally I always carry a one page piece of paper in my jacket that includes:
1) name and nationality
2) passport number
3) insurance policy numbers
4) next of kin contact name and cell number.
you are undertaking what very few people do which is great just be prepared

I use Nylock nuts for license plate bolts, no problems in 79, 000 miles. The nylon insert seems to prevent looseness.

North America is a different world for license plates, you guys have a very formal process for plates. In the UK I've snapped off plates and used cardboard and sharpie to write out a new one. When stopped by police they mainly laughed at me and left it at, "grab a new one as soon as you can". I would imagine it depends on the police officer you get though.

Great film making!
I am hooked.
I actually just bought the same motorcycle back in September. I have put just under 600 miles on it so far and I like it. I found your channel just a little after I bought my klx300. Cool synchronicity. I am looking forward to your next adventure. Keep up the great work.
