I drink whole milk, full fat cottage cheese, full fat sour cream and real grass fed butter. All the non fat or low fat stuff is pure crap.

So you're saying removing essential macronutrients from food makes it worse for you? What a surprise!

No eating out for me. Need to worry where we get our food from. That's why I eat my own grass fed chickens.

I've been following Dr. Hyman for a while, what is lost in this short interview is the importance of not eating industrialized food: GMO, pesicides, animals who are abused and force-fed toxins to increase productivity, etc. essentially, foods that are responsible for the degredation of the environment (industrialized foods) are bad for the body. Which is a simple thing to remember: if producing it has a negative impact on the planet (including processing, shipping, etc) then don't eat it.

This fits many of our intuitions. I mean, literally, think about it for 5 seconds. Things like butter, milk, eggs. Stuff you'd think about finding on the farm. Are they unhealthy? no. why? because societies have grown up with them simply for generations. You're body (unless diseased) is an extremely efficient machine. We can make use of everything we get. The only issue is if you have too much of something. And usually it's very hard to overdose on things, like you'd know when you do it. I think the key to a good diet is to initially balance the macros, and then the micros/nutrients/minerals, take supplements for food you find hard to incorporate into your life. Eg. fish is expensive, so take fish oil. Alternatively, you can just have a varied diet and try new things, following at least macros. Trying new food is fun and brightens up a part of your life and also you're body is able to use almost all of it. Also use superfoods, like kale, avacado, berries (any), nuts. These things are astoundingly nutrient dense. Basically, it there's a story of someone/animal who healthily lives off somethings, it's probably good. The biggest exception is starch foods because in america they like to destroy their customers with high sugar plants.

Wow! she does not resemble the Megyn Kelly I grew up with. I could only tell it was her by the loud interrupting voice.

Never mind the fact that grass fed beef is insanely expensive. And better nutrition or no, there's few things more stomach turning to me than seeing a bowl of slimy defrosted frozen fruit. Yuck.

Dr. Hyman is a genius. They simply don't teach enough about nutrition in medical school, although it is improving just a bit....

At the end of the day, use common sense. If people have been eating something for thousands of years to nourish themselves, it’s good. Milk is good, butter is good, cheese is good (unless you’re lactose intolerant). But obviously this doesn’t mean to overeat either.

What makes me.laugh is this. Watch this guys videos and interviews. He contradicts himself all the time. One video milks bad. The next its good. He homes in on a new view whilst adding obvious things for credibility like 'plant food is best' that's obvious. Money maker please ignore.

Eat what you feel like eating. No more, no less. Your body tells you what it needs and when!

Dr. Mark Hyman is correct about this! But he is a bit of a salesman.

I'm surprised that they are telling the sheeple the truth on national television.
