Ithaca is actually a super fun city and has over 150 waterfalls in the city limits to visit among other things 😅

As an Ithaca college student, it is a rather lovely town.

I didnt go to cornell, but when I think of cornell I definitely think of top elite students. Any ivy league is an accomplishment.

Its crazy because cornell is ranked higher in most STEM than all other ivys, but somehow my parents still think its not great.

Top agriculture school, top hospitality school, top enginnering school, top cs school, top architecture school, with a well known veterinary and law school. Consistently one of the best universities in the world, one of the most American universities, a founder with a dream, "any person, any study". There is no reason to trash on a school that is so internationally reputable and doesnt have grade inflation like the other ivies

I live in Ithaca and trust me, not all Cornell students are smart.

I love when you can tell people haven't heard anything about ithaca other than Cornell. If you like to touch grass Ithaca is great. Been to a lot of cities with less shit to do.

Ithaca has tons going on 24/7! But Cornell doesn’t pay their share to the town!

Just moved to Ithaca as an adult with a real job. Ithaca is fun but having a car definitely makes things A LOT more accessible. I get why some of the undergrads feel trapped up on the hill. There isn't even a train station, so getting out of town can be hard. But it is a wonderful place to live!

I attend Cornell, and there are countless aspects of my school that I genuinely value, including numerous activities like sports, games, club events and so on. I never feel "stuck" inside the walls of Cornell - In fact, I only wish I could have so much time to explore everything that my school has to offer. I never experience any form of inferiority complex because of my association with this institution. You mentioned Andy Bernard and I must confess that I didn't know who he was until you brought him up, so any reference to him is quite irrelevant. It's essential to recognize that allowing one individual to shape your perception of an entire group is a flawed approach. Not everyone gets admitted into a competitive school because of a good SAT score. Instances of legacy admissions are present in various prestigious institutions, including Harvard and Yale, and drawing broad conclusions based on such factors is, in essence, an immature perspective. Let's focus on appreciating the unique qualities of each academic institution without letting isolated incidents overshadow the collective experiences of its diverse student body.

Ithaca is a really nice city with a good music scene, festivals through the year, and so many beautiful waterfalls. Top rated college town and consistently ranked as a great place to live

There’s nothing to do if you don’t seek out something to do, Ithaca is a thriving town and the finger lakes region is rich with things to do, especially when it comes to outdoor activities.

If you’re from NY state, Cornell has a good reputation. It was a prestigious engineering school even in the 70s.

Ithaca is truly a beautiful city, with countless trails, waterfalls, more restaurants per capital than Manhattan, and incredible people. There’s a reason why Ezra Cornell chose to build his college in such a beautiful place.

I spent a total of 16 years in Ithaca. 4 yrs undergrad, 8 yrs work, then 4 yrs at the vet school. It's a fine place with natural beauty. I never got bored or lacked for something fun to do. I don't know what this man's problem is.

I’ve lived in Ithaca pretty much my whole life and it’s actually pretty nice. The worst part has to be all the Cornell students though.
