This is how Community Colleges decide who to reject in 30 seconds. For those of you who don't know, Community Colleges are some of the least selective colleges in the United States. It's a great option if you are tight on money. If you live in California, going to a community college and transferring to UCLA or USC is very feasible!

If you're reading this, hi! I'm ShivVZG, a sophomore at the University of Southern California. I'm on a journey to critique every single aspect of the educational system in a satirical and playful manner.

Going to a CC and transferring is a really smart play if money is tough tbh. And you can realistically transfer to schools like UCLA/UC Berkeley so definitely don't rule CC out as an option!

List is incredibly inaccurate... me and my daddy burned down 5 buildings and I still got into my local community college

Community College: So why should I accept you?
Student: *starts hyperventilating*
Community College: Great answer! You're in.

Reasons why I want to attend community college.
1. The Tuition costs are so much better.
2. Smaller classes = more interactive learner = learning and understanding the material better (at least that’s for me) = growing closer as a community.
3. No stress to get in.
4. No need to worry in high school about big high school tests that “help” you get into a university.
5. No worries if you change your mind. It won’t be a waste of time or money, as opposed to already committing to a major in a university.
6. No worries about competing against your fellow classmates in high school, and instead try to spend more time focusing on your mental health, making friends, and having fun, instead of worrying about getting accepted to a good college.
7. Slows down the growing up process. (This might sound odd, but if you go to community college when you are about 18 years old, there is a lot less pressure to all of the sudden become an adult and have a ton of responsibilities.)

It's honestly kind of sad that the idea of accessible higher education is considered a joke

Imagine you’re the smartest person in school but don’t get accepted into college because you forgot to put your name on the application

Transfer success story here✌🏻 I got my associate’s in a cc and now I’m going to my top choice University for music. It’s an underrated, totally viable option :)

Me joining my community college was super easy. I literally went online, filled out an application, and 10 minutes after I finished the application, I was a student.

I graduated from HS with a 3.97 and went to CC for two years to save money. I transferred to Berkeley and earned my bachelor's in physics, and then got my MBA from Wharton.

Because of the incredibly low requirements for CC, I ended up at one, since the 3 colleges I applied to rejected me. Honestly thought I was a failure at first. Well now I'm reapplying to 2 of them with 2 associate degrees and I'm really happy I ended up taking the financially cheaper option! In a way, I'm happy I "fucked up" and got rejected.

Also great video, had a good laugh at this one.

A major life hack: to go to a Community College, get an A.A and then transfer to an Univeristy, that way you can get into any U you want without having to take any test like the SAT and you have a *much* higher chance of getting accepted to your dream school (it's a nearly automatic acceptance at most universities when you're transfering with a good GPA) + you save tens of thousands of dollars in the process and get to show that fancy Bachelor's in your resume from a fancy university that totally overshadows the associate's from the community college

I went to a community college and got my associates in less than 2 years now I’m at a University with a 3.9 gpa as a Computer Science major, and on track to graduate faster than if I were to go straight into a University. Honestly it doesn’t matter where you go unless your trying to be some big politician.
