Car Won't Shut off with the Key Removed! - Don't panic Do This First

Hello folks! Today we're having an issue of the car won't shut off with the key removed. At first the car not shutting off with the key removed can cause a panic but don't worry. Ol Clay is gonna show you how to turn that car off. if your car won't shut off with the key removed it's a very simple trick to get the car to shut off. If your car won't shut off with the key removed give this a try. It almost certainly should work. This trick works on any car so regardless if your car won't shut off with the key removed on any vehicle this will at least get your car turned off so you don't waste all that precious expensive gas.

Had to chime in here to let you know I had this very issue with my Toyota Matrix. I had used my spare key while having an alternator changed at a garage. So of course as one would think, I thought I had a bad alternator. Come to find out because of using my other key, it must of disturbed dirt or whatever in my ignition, therefore my car would not shut off after turning it off and removing key. It was a worn key problem!! After using my spare key now I have zero issues! A big savings on the pocket book because I wasn't sure what to replace next! So happy I figured this out!

In my experience, In the case of a gasoline engine, this phenomenon occurs when the ignition relay is short-circuited, and in the case of a diesel engine, the ecm relay is short-circuited.

This is good but for me and my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 v8 was me having to disconnect the ignition switch fuse in order for my truck to shut off. I’m thinking it may be the ignition needs to be replaced

How about this one? I can pull out the key out of my ignition just like your video when my headlights are on, but when I turn my headlights off the ignition shut off any advice would really help. Thanks for your contacts.

Dealing with a 2011 300c v8 hemi that won’t shut off…acts like it’s not in park when it is…every mechanic is booked for at least a wk to focus on it. I have a 91 thunderbird I've replaced the ignition switch, and the lock cylinder. Every time I've tried replacing the lock cylinder it won't go back into place. Any idea's or suggestion Clay?
