Thank you for the great film. It helped me to find one of the problems I had on my car 2001 Saturn. But there was another problem (besides disconnected fuel fuse) there as well. I changed the oil, and it went on low. As soon as I added oil that shut off problem gone. Also gone the sign ""Service Engine". But I think it is always better to have a wrench 5/16" around for the situations like that.

I take off keys but engine still running then I decided to remove the wire from battery...nth changed
Then I took off fuse then engine stop

Can a broken switch cause the car to crank with no key in the ignition?

With this problem if you had took the negative off the battery and the engine turned off would that be the alternator in this situation?

Same problem here, for Manual transmission, shift to 1st gear, hard brake and release the clutch at once.

I have a '98 Ford explorer. And my problem is when I turn off the ignition I'm still able to use the power windows the air condition and heater still can go on radio is shut off.. before I turned off the ignition in my vehicle you couldn't run anything inside the car but now certain things stay on..
What could it be please help. Thank you online mechanic

I'm having same issue
I've tooken keys out my ignition and car is still running I have no idea what's happened the only way I cud switch engine off was to put car in first gear and let go off from the clutch fast car stalled and engine shut of immediately.

Engine starts perfect wen I put keys in ignition though.

I travell alot do u guys reckon I shud still keep driving?

Dude I have massive problem after trying delete my abs wiring on a honda accord 2006 I wanted clean my wiring up and delete ABS now car runs and won't turn off after key removed and IV chopped abs wiring out things it doesn't effect it in anyway since abs delete is a thing on my model of car. What can I do ? Do I need to reconnect all the wires and hope it works ?

I have a 2016 Chevy impala LTZ and the engine wouldn’t shut off no matter how much I pushed the start button. I remember I cleaned my trunk I check my trunk again and found I accidentally hit some type of sensor. First I removed the start/run fuse and pushed the sensor in and put the fuse back in.That fixed my car. I thought it was a bad ignition switch but nope just my fault 😅

Seen same problem on diesel BMW. The fuel shut off solenoid wouldn’t engage or disengage completely.
