Saw a vid of a streamer who played on a 240 monitor for a year and never thought to set it up at all. Guy spent a year saying there wasn't much difference upgrading.

Great guide! Going over all the various in game settings reminded me of the time when black ops 4 somehow set its render scale to 200%, and I couldn't figure out why my frames were so low or why my pc sounded like it was about to take off. Felt pretty dumb after figuring it out 2 days later

Undervolting and overclocking my GPU was like a revelation for cooler temps and lower power consumption with still the same high fps with everything maxed out in games. E.g Cyberpunk completely tuned to max quality and all raytracing features up (WQHD) from 82° spikes down to 60° with constant 100fps

My biggest mistake with my current (and first) PC I've built is not being able to figure out how to run my ram at full speed. I have a 7950x, x670e and 128gb of 5200mhz ram (I use my PC for work and I need all that I can get), but no matter what I do in the bios, it'll throttle itself and default to 3600mhz when doing the AM5 memory learning thing on boot up. I've read the 7950x just can't handle that much ram at full speed, and I should've waited for the 7950x3D instead but oh well

Which game did he play in the video? (Not warzone)

I will say, Motion Blur on Escape from Tarkov or SPT, is wonderful. And my FPS is good at 138. I always turn motion blur off on every other title.

I have tried multiple non gaming chairs and they were jsu trash, their armrests were extremely uncomfortable for gaming and they would have too much swivel, gamimg chairs are not a scam at least for me.

What is XMP AND WHY is it usually set to off by default?

Disabling mouse acceleration in Windows hasn't been necessary for maybe 10+years. It's only necessary for games that are very old or coded very badly that don't use direct input, and rely on Windows APIs to get mouse move information. I don't know any single FPS made in the last 10 years that had this problem.

Very happy you told people not to buy gaming chairs. Man, do they suck. They're horrible for you. Get a proper office chair. Office chairs have literally been perfected and optimized for decades. Gaming chairs are just supposed to look cool.

Legit the other day I had to remove the cooler from my gpu to remove dust from it

step 1: sell both of your kidneys, twice to fund your gaming machine
step 2: benchmark new games, see how they run, but never finish them
step 3: ???
step 4: go back to playing old games where you don't even need a good pc
step 5: regret buying the beast rig and still have no joy with video games, nothing can bring happiness any more... send help

I wish people would learn to use Push-to-talk or at least learn how to set their voice activation sensitivity. Having to mute the clueless kids every game gets annoying.

Thanks for the dusting reminder! It's easy to get lazy and complacent.

Also, it's good to see some gameplay from The Finals.

You forgot one thing...cheap weak PSU.
New High End GPU's and CPU's create high spikes for a few milliseconds. If your PSU has not enough juice, your PC will crash or stutter.
Your entire System can use 450W max and (in theory) a 550W PSU could be enough...but your CPU and GPU can create those spikes up to 650W and your PC will crash or you game freezes or u get stutters ect.
And remember, if you buy a new gpu and read on the back "recommended Power Supply". It means, recommended for your GPU, not for the entire System.

Worth addressing that XMP is only for Intel systems, while EXPO is the equivalent for AMD Ryzen systems.

Note: XMP is a Intel only. If using an AMD CPU look for EXPO ( Extended Profiles for Overclocking) in the Bios.

Me downloading "more ram" back in like '06-'07 so that I could run my fake Windows Vista like programs to make my Windows XP look like Vista 😂😂. Boy did I go through hell trying to get Vista for free lmao. It was like a several day long process downloading this and that over slow DSL internet. Mind you, I had a basic Dell that barely ran CS Source when it dropped. Good times. I still take for granted how good internet is these days

6:45 cleaning every few months? yeah nah, that's just a waste of time. unless you have 3 dogs and 2 cats that constantly sit on your case, you don't clean your house like at all and live in a trash pile and smoke a pack of ciggy's a day, cleaning that often isn't needed. check up once a year, usually in may before the summer heat gets hot and raises the overall temp of your home (I know because my ps4 used to go all 100% fan noise mode every time a heatwave would come and the house is a sauna, so that's even more worse for big pc's) then check it if it needs cleaning.
