I think no one has explained where Pootis came from. The word Pootis is associated with Heavy on how he say "Put dispenser here", there's a bug where you can override voicelines to cut it off and Heavy can easily replicate it using his Sandvich, when he's about to eat his sandvich, Heavy needs to say "Put dispenser here" but as he eats it, the voiceline will cut into "Put dis" and thus Pootis is born.

Fun fact: There is a weapon in Team Fortress 2 called "Mad Milk", which is a secondary weapon for the Scout. You can throw Mad Milk at your enemies to coat them with the white... stuff... inside.

Every weapon in Team Fortress 2 has some grey text under the name which shows the weapon's level and type. Mad Milk, according to this, is a "Non-Milk Substance".

The girl you described as "low poly Tifa" is a character named Ena from a web series of the same name. It's a wild fever dream that I'd recommend you to watch :)

Just in case people haven’t told you this already, the reason they sound like robots, is because if Sfm creators such as ceno, need lines for specific scenes, however if tf2 doesn’t have the lines they need, they rip lines from the files of tf2, then they mix them into a sentence to form the line they need, each word in some sentences are from different voice lines

There's A LOT of references from Pootis Engage and Pootis Engage Xtreme, from anime intro sequences and gaming references to other sfm references.

The reason why Heavy's voiceline sounds robotic is because TF2 Gmodders and SFM makers used to splice voicelines to make a sentence for them to talk.

This whole thing is madness and I kinda love it?! 2000 likes and we'll do the Fedora Chrnoicles! First time gameplay coming by the end of the year! 😁

The scene where soldier flips a rocket into his mouth is the start of a super of Sol Badguy, from Guilty Gear. The rest of the move is a parody of another super in the same game, Potemkin's "Heavenly Potemkin Buster". Most of the music is also from guilty gear, as well as the pose heavy does when he balances a sniper rifle on his ass.

6:51 that whole fight including music is a large Guilty Gear reference, Blu heavy's fighting style is almost copied to Jack-o's and Soldier's super is a combo of Sol Badguy's finisher(from Xrd) and Potemkin's "Heavenly Potemkin Buster"(that scene when he lifts off to space). Also music in the start(Smell of the game) and during their fight(Find your one way and Armor-clad faith) and music in the credits(Alone infection) is from Guilty Gear Strive. And this is only the top of the iceberg, ceno0's weebness is insane.

The desperation in the "please tell me that was milk" tells a story.

But here's a thinker. Whose milk? I didn't see any cows in the anime room.

I love the amount of music and references to guilty gear in this.

7:47 well Tf2 is set in the late 50's early 60's so this is lore accurate.

I've been loving your TF2 series. If you want my ABSOLUTE favorite series of animations- they're from Crash Maul. Starting with Rise of the Epic Scout and the latest is White on Spy. They have the sickest fight choreography I've ever seen animated!

3:05 because to make the tf2 characters speak you have to either use AI which sounds robotic, or literally take specific letters out of the characters voice lines from the game and stitch them together, which sounds… unnatural

6:30 The moves are from Guilty Gear, as well as the song that is playing during the fight. It's called 'Find Your One Way'.

there's way too many references to explain in this one. But, the fighting game segment is heavily based on Guilty Gear (do not look up the lore for that game), the moon rockets reference a rocket jump technique called "sync jumping" (it's when you shoot multiple rockets and they land at the same time). the whole lift off, moon and suplex drop segment is based again on guilty gear, this time on the character Potemkin's super. That noooo" is pretty much a frame by frame recreation of a scene in Akira.

7:58 Technically no, from lore we know, that Team Fortress 2 is 1960s years. But community doesn't really care in SFM and GMod, they make references to things from our time, memes, give Mercenaries modern gadgets, like smartphone ect.

I recommend Heavy is Dead for a future tf2 reaction :)
