🇩🇪How living in Germany has change me...
I am fairly certain that this video only scratches the surface of how living in Germany has changed me. I think I will possibly do a follow up on this video after receiving more feedback from Friends and Family when I make a return to the U.S.

~How Germany Changed me~

I hope you enjoyed! I also have a huge list & I am trying to narrow down the most cherished things that I LOVE about Germany. It is taking a while because I am really excited to make it and I want to do it well. Much Love! Keep on exploring!

💜Give the video a like and comment! It helps support me so much! 👍

I've got total respect for anybody doing these videos on YouTube, putting the live in the internet to the whole world and talking about different and sometimes difficult things is not so easy.
The reactions and answers, to handle all that stuff. Thanks to you doing that, it helps other people in many ways. With channels like yours, i gives me the opportunity to improve my English.

I'm not able to do that okay Facebook of course, but that's all.

I don't think I could ever tone it down😂 I'm like walking, noisy sunshine😁 When I lived in Colorado for a summer, from Texas, I realized how much more forward the majority of people were about everything! I was thinking my goodness tone it down and stop being so rude! Soon I just started expecting it and it didn't shock me so much when it happened. Love this video!

Small talk annoys me and I live in Cali. There’s this drive thru coffee stand where they make their baristas ask personal questions. Like, “what are you going to do with the rest of your day?” Nunya biz, that’s what!! Lol! How does one even respond? “Attend my grandma’s funeral?” Or “go home and watch Netflix.” Or “plant some flowers.” 🤣

Oh the weather issue in Germany and Denmark 😂🙈
I was so sure you would talk about feeling safer? When I was living Baltimore, I didn’t feel safe.. maybe bc of the media power often focus on crime? 🤷🏻‍♀️
My good friend Amy moved to Denmark from UK three years ago.
She mentioned how she has changed.. she uses the bike bc she feel safer, she doesn’t feel nervous over the smallest things any more. ❤️ Any way it was a nice video, and lovely thumbnail credits to J!

Hi. I adore you vids, but excuse me - you often say: "the germans think or do that or that..." - As far as i can see, you' re living in southern germany/bavaria - please don' t forget: There are sometimes big differences between germans living in the different parts of the country, and i mean not dialect or ways to eat things or built houses or s.th. like that - there are also big differncies in what we call "mentality"/ way of behaving towards others - between for example bavarians and people living at the northern coast/ north sea ( who are much more "cold tempered" and don' t like to talk much), between the "Rhinelanders" ( who are a more open minded and happy folk) and the people in the east of germany. Especially there are big differencies ( as you may know....) in all between the west and east germany - two parts, that where completly seperated from another during the time of the "cold war" (1949 to 1990) and had two complete different political systems ( the western part was part of NATO and in close friendsghip with the american/british/french allied forces - the eastern part belonged to the eastern communist block) - and its even often problematic to that day to native germans to enclose their relations, not only because of the long lasting political distances, but also because of the german government was not able to this day, to create living equality on both sides (the east germans are still much poorer then their western landsmen and the infrastructure in some regions is still decades behind of what west germans used to live in and there is also no equal payment in jobs!).

Bavaria is a perhaps relativly easy to understand part of the country, because it stands for many "german cliche" known to people from other countries ( like "lederhosen", "dirndl", "much beer drinking", favorite cars and many beautiful medieval towns!), but this is NOT the case for the rest of germany! For example: You will hardly find someone wearing "Lederhosen" or "Dirndl" in Hamburg or Düsseldorf or Cologne or Frankfurt! - Bavaria is also one of the richest parts of germany and is known to be poltically and socially relativly conservative! - An american friend of mine often told me, to make a comparision to the USA, bavaria is a bit like "Texas" in relativity to the rest of the U.S.!

The origin of the differences lies in the fact, that germany relativly late became a complete nation! - From the middle age until the end of the 19th century, germany was a "patchwork country" consisting of dozens of ducal courts, small kingdoms, church states, counties, etc. which all had their own dialects, money and laws. It changed, when Wilhelm II. became german Kaiser.
Further, the sometimes negative affects to strangers, you may find on some countrysides, has its origins in the fact of the "30 years war" - a religious conflict, where nearly all germany was destroyed by strange armies from france, sweden and others, that invaded patchwork germany - and because of tge french occupation of germany during the "napoleonic wars".
The relation berween germany and france had been complicated for many centuries, because both countries, inspite of having both identical ethnic roots, but grew apart in language ( french romanic, german a germanic lingo!) mentailty, temper, nationalism and many other details.
"
If you can manage, then take one day a little trip to the extreme north, the north sea, west and east of germany - and you will see, what i mean! But you also will see - there is much more to know and see about germany then bavaria!!

All the best,
